Job Description

Willow Springs Center has an opening for a Dietary Manager.

The purpose of Dietary Manager is to plan, guide and oversee the efforts of the dietary program.  This position will engage in food preparation, cooking, ordering and inventory, staff oversight, training, mentoring, and general cleanup.  Manages scheduling of staff, approval of PTO, ensures education compliance and ensures adequate staffing for efficient effective operations. 

This position contributes to the success of Willow Springs Center by taking responsibility and ownership of the foods offered to patients to ensure they are fresh, delicious, appealing and within required budgets.  Because food offerings are essential to patient satisfaction, the quality of the dietary program becomes important to marketing and sustainability. This position contributes to the success of Willow Springs Center by ensuring foods offered to patrons of the cafeteria are fresh, delicious, appealing and within dietary standards.  With dietary as a key evaluation tool for patient satisfaction, the quality of the dietary program is an important tool for our marketing and benchmarking in the UHS system.

Job Requirements

Education: High school education or equivalent.  Culinary degree preferred.

Certification: ServSafe Food Management Certification required

Experience: Five (5) years of demonstrated responsible food service experience preparing bulk meals, two of which were in a healthcare setting prepared.  Demonstrated ability to address special dietary needs of patients required.

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements may be considered.
