Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Part Time (24 hours/week) Dietetic Technician for St. Luke Health Services near Lake Ontario in Oswego N.Y., 40 Minutes North of Syracuse, N.Y. St. Luke Health Services is a 200 bed facility with 180 skilled beds and 20 rehab beds along with a 50 person Adult Health Care day program.


Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, this Dietetic Technician will: 

  • Work with the Registered Dietitians in managing the nutrition care process for the rehab and long term care residents. 
  • Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors to make every day a better day for our clients and residents.
  • Have a passion for driving and improving the resident experience for the Seniors we serve.

Position Summary

Responsible for handling the day-to-day basic nutrition care

Key Duties
- Supports basic nutrition services of population served to ensure nutrition needs and customer satisfaction levels are met. Supports client relationships and satisfaction and client contractual obligations to ensure account retention.
- Promotes and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
- Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and apprises manager of potential problems. 
- Helps ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) and follows operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments.


Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
