The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for nutrition risk screening, nutrition patient assessments, education/instructions, community projects and related duties as assigned.
1. Assures the provision of quality nutrition care
through assessment of the nutritional status of patients of all ages
(pediatrics, adolescents, adult-young, and geriatric) and provides
education and counseling to patients (inpatient and/or outpatient)
and /or family members on therapeutic diets as prescribed by
B.S. in Nutrition or related field.
One year experience or the equivalent in hospital and/or community preferred.
Licensure with the State Board of Examiners for Dietitians required.
Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association required.
Must have a thorough knowledge of enteral and parenteral nutrition.
Must be able to take on-call responsiblities on weekends and/or holidays during the hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
