Position Description

The Digital Account Manager works closely within UHC Digital to realize the digital experience UHC seeks for its members to help them lead healthier lives.
The Digital Account Manager will work with UHC business partners to triage, manage and track business projects supported by UHC Digital and lead &/or collaborate with business partners on Digital products and projects from ideation through delivery and optimization. 
The focus of the Digital Account Manager will be building relationships with all UHC business partners to improve communications, collaboration and coordination to realize UHC business goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Build collaborative relationship with UHC business partners including Sales, Marketing, Business Operations, Product, Networks, Clinical Services, Shared Services, Rally and Optum
  • Develop and manage the inventory of all projects impacting the digital member experience including those sponsored by UHC business partners and by other UHC, Rally or Optum partners
  • Engage and collaborate with project sponsors to jointly define emerging projects and shepherd them through the Digital development process
  • Lead ad hoc projects with cross functional teams supporting key business goals
  • Develop and maintain regular communications to support leadership and business partner team communications, including coordination of the monthly Digital Product Community forum
  • Coordinate product and project updates with UHC stakeholders including the Go-To-Market and Operations teams
  • Work with stakeholders to build a process to identify new product features that will impact digital with the goal of capturing requirements for digital products
  • Work closely with experience design, operations, marketing and delivery partners to ensure effective “team-of-teams” execution
  • Work closely with the UHC Digital Vice President, Strategist, Digital Analytics and business partners to develop compelling digital reporting demonstrating value and impact to key UHC business goals and metrics including Net Promoter Scores, engagement and affordability
  • Represent UHC Digital for internal partner or external client presentations as needed
  • Responsible for writing and maintaining RFP content for digital topics and supporting RFP responses including customizations
  • Work with BAs and PMs to manage all commitments made through requirements, planning and delivery
  • Manage client escalations with delivery team, UHC Digital leadership and UHC business partner leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the digital space (2+ years)
  • Demonstrated portfolio of user-centric digital experiences with proven, positive impacts to engagement and KPIs (5+ years)
  • Experience working with clients (managing expectations, managing delivery dates)
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams comprising product managers, project managers, marketers and engineering
  • Strong ability to absorb and make sense of large amounts of data, information and perspectives to direct decision making
  • Ability to turn complicated inputs into a clear, communicable vision
  • Results-oriented individual with strong influencing, problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Outstanding communication skills for all audience types including executives
  • Knowledge of current digital web and application standards
