Fremont Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Director of Outpatient Services to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals to provide administrative and management functions to ensure the highest quality of patient care. 

Key Responsibilities include:

The Director of Outpatient Services is responsible for oversight of therapeutic programming and services, including clinical supervision, consultation, and program planning and delivery, and fiscal responsibility of the outpatient department.  

Programs include:

  • Partial Hospitalization

  • Adult / Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program

  • Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Program


The Director of Outpatient Services also provides direct supervision of therapy staff (social workers, marriage and family therapists, licensed professional counselors, and chemical dependency counselors) and the provision of training and compliance for clinical outpatient staff.  This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is an integral part of the hospital leadership team.

Job Requirements

Position Requirements:

Education:  Master’s Degree (doctorate preferred) in mental health/behavioral sciences field; or equivalent combinations of education and experience.

Experience:  Minimum five (5) years’ experience in psychiatric/mental health field, with a minimum of three (3) years in a lead/managerial capacity.

Licensure:  Appropriate State Licensure in Mental Health and proper certification in field of expertise within three (3) years of appointment.

Additional Requirements:  CPR with AED (CPR/AED) certification must be current and presented to Human Resources upon hire.  You may successfully complete the Fremont Hospital’s non-violent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training course within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with preventative intervention measures.  Must have thorough knowledge of TJC/CMS, OSHA, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
