Description:

The Modeling Center of Excellence is responsible for the governance, development and testing of the valuation and projections end-to-end models within the Domestic lines of Prudential businesses.  The Business Architecture team within the Modeling COE is responsible for developing and leading the Actuarial Architecture strategy, designing and supporting the automation of the end-to-end Actuarial model process. 

This position will be an integral role within the Business Architecture Inputs team, leading the Enterprise Solutions sub-team.  This role requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including other Modeling COE teams, the business unit actuaries and ESS to deliver technology solutions for model inputs, including BU-specific admin data and assumptions going into multiple modeling platforms.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain data governance principles to ensure single source of truth for Actuarial processes

  • Design and execute on projects to deliver inputs to multiple modeling platforms serving all business units

  • Partner with Valuation COE and ESS to solve business problems through innovative design and delivery of Actuarial tools and capabilities.

  • Support the development of an enterprise Data Governance framework to ensure consistency and integrity of Actuarial reporting and analytics across businesses and use cases

  • Be an active participant in Prudential’s actuarial community


 

  • Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science is preferred.

  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries designation (FSA) is preferred

  • Strong project and process management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, competing priorities, and drive projects to completion in a fast paced, dynamic environment

  • Highly motivated, innovative, and creative problem solver and conceptual thinker.

  • Superior technical skills and ability to understand complex quantitative concepts and models, and effectively communicate findings to both actuarial and non-actuarial business partners.

  • Actuarial model development and architecture experience with proven track-record for driving process improvements.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
