Job Description

 

 

This position is in the Valuation & Reporting group supporting Retirement’s Longevity Reinsurance Pension Risk Transfer business.

 

 

 Financial Reporting

 

 

 

·         Lead a small team responsible for Statutory, GAAP, and Tax financial reporting for Prudential Retirement’s Longevity Reinsurance Pension Risk Transfer business

 

 

 

·         Review and analyze monthly reserve traces and other monthly reporting requirements

 

 

 

·         Review source of earnings analysis and explain drivers of results

 

 

 

·         Support enterprise financial planning by overseeing, reviewing, and attributing changes in quarterly reserve forecasts for the Longevity Reinsurance product

 

 

 

·         Collaborate with pricing, product management, modeling and service delivery to identify risks of new products and any system enhancements needed to implement new business

 

 

 

·         Assess and oversee the implementation of enhancements to existing processes and management exhibits and analytics with a focus on controls and consistency

 

 

 

·         Review and implement new/enhanced reserve methodologies for new business

 

 

 

·         Perform ad hoc regression testing of the financial reporting system

 

 

 

·         Be an active participant in Prudential’s actuarial community

 



·         Bachelor’s degree
·         FSA or near FSA with at least 7 years of actuarial experience, in financial reporting or supporting pension products preferred
·         Highly motivated, conceptual thinker who is able to work independently or in a team and take a leadership role in a wide variety of assignments
·         Strong technical and analytical skills
·         Collaborative and team-oriented leadership style
·         Demonstrated ability to maintain strong relationships with business partners
·         Ability to effectively prioritize competing demands under challenging time frames
·         Excellent oral and written communication skills
