This position offers a challenging and high profile opportunity to lead a team and collaborate with internal and external business partners across the organization.

 

Responsibilities:

·        Lead and grow a team of data analytics professionals, provide technical guidance and mentoring

·        Work closely with key partners to plan and execute high-value and actionable data analytics projects and initiatives

·        Develop and maintain consultative relationships with key business stakeholders, proactively identifying and addressing data analytics needs

·        Demonstrate knowledge of industry trends, value drivers, regulatory issues, and competitive marketplace

·        Source, scrub, mine and integrate relevant data sources to identify insights and tell a story with the data

·        Frame and conduct analysis using large structured and unstructured data sets with the goal of discovering meaningful and actionable insights

·        Establish a model maintenance strategy and curate predictive models over time

·       Collaborate with the Customer Office and other parts of the organization to identify common challenges and develop solutions together

·       Develop and design presentations, reports, and other deliverables to communicate findings and make recommendations

·       Develop project plans, timelines, and vendor relationships to ensure projects are delivered with the highest quality and on time


·        Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Data Science, or other technical/analytics discipline. Master’s degree preferred.

·        Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in data analytics, applying statistical and machine learning techniques, as well as segmentation techniques

·        Experience analyzing large structured and unstructured data sets using statistical analysis software, such as SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner, Python or R

·        Experience leading teams of employees. Ability to coach and motivate teams

·         Data visualization experience using of or more BI tools

·         Superior problem solving mindset and skills

·        Powerful skills in persuasion to enlist buy-in and build support for initiatives

·        Polished written and oral communication skills, with ability to present and clearly explain data to non-technical executive audiences

·        Strong project management skills/experience managing projects and schedules to successful completion

·        Excellent collaboration skills and commitment to building trusted relationships with partners

·        Ability to balance responsiveness to diverse requests from many stakeholders

·        Financial services and/or life insurance industry experience is a plus
