Role Summary At Pfizer, we have brought our global analytics capabilities across R&D and commercial under one powerful new organization - Business Analytics (BA) that drives insights to action for some of the most critical business questions for the company.







The BA Scaled Analytics team, is a center-led organization that delivers both Center of Expertise and Self-Service capabilities across the organization. The Global Analytic Methodology Center (GAMC) within Scaled Analytics provides global support in the areas of Promotional Resource Allocation, Field Force Design and Forecasting and is the custodian of mature advanced analytics methodologies with responsibility to frame long term analytic strategies that grow analytics impact.







The Analytics Methodology Design role leads the evolution of BA's enterprise level analytical offerings in the areas of Segmentation, Promotional Channel Optimization and Field Force Design while leveraging advanced analytical tools and methodologies and learnings from other industries.







Role Responsibilities **Analytics Methodology Design**







+ Drive forward analytic strategies and lead Business Analytics evolution in analytics methodology for enterprise level applications across key functional areas including segmentation, promotional optimization and field force design by first identifying and prioritizing needs and then appropriately leveraging recent advancements in analytical methods and tools



+ Lead the execution of complex enterprise level analytical projects and communicate recommendations to senior commercial leaders including Country Managers, Regional and Global Presidents



+ Be the BA Subject Matter Expert on the application of advanced analytics to solve challenging business problems that typically require a multidisciplinary analytical approach



+ In close partnership with other Senior BA leaders, be a thought partner in the space of advanced analytics for BA and commercial teams across regions



+ Partner closely with the Senior Director of Analytic Innovation to develop roadmap for analytic infrastructure and to move capabilities from prototype to production



+ Partner with Analytics Methodology Enablement team to drive analytics democratization and enablement of Business Analytics teams



+ Advise other BA teams on methodology for execution of customized, novel and high priority analytical projects **Leadership**



+ Lead matrixed and cross functional project teams to plan and execute complex and multi- disciplinary analytical projects



+ Provide coaching and development guidance to other junior members of the team



+ Ensure 100% compliance to CEP rules, regulations and guidelines. **Performance Measures**

+ Demonstrable increase in analytics impact and efficiency - measured by increase in capacity, response time and business value driven by analytical innovations



+ 100% of Projects in compliance with CEP regulations







Qualifications



**Education:**







+ Advanced degree in analytics related areas including management science, business decision analysis, statistics/data science, economics, etc







**Experience:**







+ 10+ years of strong multi-disciplinary advanced analytics experience, with a preference for pharma and cross industry experience and experience in analytics driven business consulting



+ Demonstrated ability to be a strong team player with the ability to maintain strong cross-functional and cross-team ties to influence colleagues outside direct reporting structure. **Technical skills and competencies:**



+ Strong strategic, conceptual and analytical thinker with the ability to understand analytics needs, leverage learnings from other industries and use sophisticated analytical tools and techniques to design effective solutions.



+ Expertise with the application of statistics and data science techniques such as machine learning to solve business problems



+ Experience conducting analysis in open source analytical programming languages - R and/or Python



+ Expertise in interactive analytics and data visualization (Tableau preferred)



+ Demonstrated insight and understanding of the pharma health care space (physician-level prescribing, institutional sales data, payer-prescriber-level data, formulary data, patient-level data, etc.), trends, and issues combined with experience in the areas of segmentation, marketing mix optimization and Field Force Sizing



+ Proven ability to recognize interactions between insights, identify trends, proactively recognize future business needs and link them to current and future analytics.



+ Exceptional communicator: Can readily align interpersonal style with the individual needs; can understand, translate, and distill the complex, technical concepts to a layperson



+ Highly collaborative: Shares responsibility and credit; develops self and others through teamwork; comfortable working in global environment and across time zones



+ Strong at project management: Clearly articulates scope and deliverables of projects; breaks complex initiatives into detailed component parts and sequences actions appropriately; develops action plans and monitors progress independently
