As a Director, Internal Sales, you will have responsibility for the developing and inspiring a team of internal sales professionals and allocating resources to drive annuity sales.  Additionally, the Director will help set strategic direction for their channels, provide innovative leadership, and design and implement processes and ideas to increase sales results and improve sales team efficiencies.  Our inside sales teams support the sales activities of our external wholesalers on a channel and geographic basis.  Ideal candidates will possess a proven track record of success in leadership and talent development as well as sales results, dynamic communication skills, and a strong collaboration mindset.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the coaching, development, and training of a team of inside sales managers and internal wholesalers
  • Dynamically link marketing and sales data to coach teams on driving effective sales campaigns
  • Lead and support Sales strategies, initiatives and projects
  • Propose and implement strategies and best practice sales techniques in collaboration with other directors, internal sales desk managers, and other senior sales leaders
  • Recruit, hire and retain a talented and diverse sales team
  • Effectively anticipate, plan and maintain appropriate staff levels to meet the needs of our advisors
  • Partner with various teams across Prudential Annuities including but not limited to the Center for Professional Excellence, Marketing, Product, New Business, and Service
  • Monitor and enhance the quality and productivity (effectiveness) of sales team and leverage performance management process when necessary
  • Execute full supervisory responsibilities for management team under direct supervision

Ability to motivate individuals while driving toward common team goals
Passion for Talent Development - Ability to attract outside talent while cultivating and developing internal talent

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in sales and with proven track record of success
  • Prior management experience required and a track record of increasing role responsibilities
  • Demonstrated leadership characteristics including cultivating a team culture, building relationships, and influencing performance
  • Proven investment acumen and knowledge of consultative sales approach
  • Demonstrated success in marketing and selling investment products
  • Excellent coaching, development and training skills
  • Professional presence and proven presentation skills
  • FINRA Series 6/7, 63/66, 24/26 and state Life and Health license required or ability to obtain licenses within a specific time frame
  • Asset Management sales experience a plus
  • Knowledge of the Financial Services industry and products a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or advanced education (MBA, CFP, etc) a plus
