**ROLE SUMMARY**



The Director of Contract Strategy works directly with Biosimilar Brand teams and US Payer and Channel Access (PCA) stakeholders to lead the development and assessment of contracting strategies at the product, channel and provider level e.g. Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, Hospitals/IDNs and Clinics. Strategy development and channel assessments include internal and external research, analytics and financial analyses to develop and support recommendations. Additional activities include collaborating with Business Development to participate in and support Asset evaluation, pre-launch activities such as market research studies, competitive environment evaluations and pricing research studies, as well as support for Biosimilar licensing deals and development program assessments as requested.







ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES







+ Setting guidelines for Biosimilar contract strategy and implementation for all Biosimilar Products and contracted channels



+ Monitor contract/channel/product trends and identify issues and provide solutions to counter or overcome to the Brand Team and Senior Management



+ Deliver timely, consistent contract and product strategies to meet competition and respond to changing marketplace dynamics



+ Provide Strategic and Analytic support, while acting as a Contract Strategy Liaison to the Biosimilar Brand Leads that you support



+ Participate in non-standard contracting requests with all stakeholders and evaluate viability of requests while providing strategic contracting solutions, insights and recommendations to the Biosimilar Brand Team



+ Partner with Biosimilar Brand team and Managment to Develop, Evaluate and Modify Contracting Strategy as needed



+ Lead the contract strategy development and planning for Biosimilar products over the different stages of the product life cycle



+ Communicate strategies and guidelines to Contract Development , Account Management and all other Stakeholders as appropriate



+ In-depth knowledge of buy and bill environment, ASP, Managed Care Customers and provider environment







QUALIFICATIONS







+ 8-10 years of Managed Markets, and provider experience



+ 5 years experience with Provider and ASP product contracting



+ Strong, strategic, innovative thinker - solution oriented



+ Demonstrated high level of analytical skills



+ Track record of leading projects, driving change and organizing teams that successfully achieve milestones and deliverables



+ Effective relationship building skills with key internal leaders; Brand, PCA, Finance, Global Health and Value



+ Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work with senior leaders and other cross-functional groups to build consensus
