Director – Business Development

What You’ll Do

-         Represent the work of the Cisco Digitization Office (CDO) in the EMEAR theater

-         Create scale of execution for CDO transformation work by cascading CDO thought leadership and communications to key stakeholders in-region

-         Communicate CDO thought leadership through extensive customer-facing contact, delivering presentations on a daily basis to clients, partners and Cisco employees

-         Orchestrate and manage a stakeholder coalition (internal) and partner ecosystem (external) to accelerate CDO change efforts cross-functionally

-         Contribute as a member of the Global Center for Digital Business Transformation, working with our academic partners IMD (Switzerland)

Who You’ll Work With

You’ll serve as an integral member of the CDO thought leadership team to explain “what’s next” for digital business and articulate Cisco’s own transformation to key stakeholders, including sales, marketing, partner organization and more. This position will also involve contributions to the Global Center for Digital Business Transformation, an IMD and Cisco initiative. The DBT Center engages with customers and conducts extensive original research globally to understand the state of digital transformation in our customers and the market trends impacting their business. Dotted line reporting to the VP EMEAR for CDO.

Who You Are

-         A seasoned professional with 12+ years of relevant experience (management consulting, industry analyst role, etc.)

-         Strong executive influencing skills and presence—client presentations, written and oral communications

-         Possession of strong program management skills and organizational savvy, often in fluid and ambiguous environments involving numerous stakeholders

-         Ability to “self-start” and work independently with minimal supervision to achieve results

-         Graduate degree holder, MBA preferred, with strong record of academic achievement

-         Comfort level with business travel of 40-50%, mainly but not exclusively in the EMEAR theater

-         Subject matter expert in digital business and digital transformation themes

-         Familiarity with Cisco’s business, with a baseline understanding of networking technology and key Cisco architectures

-         A diligent team player with a distaste for drama and grandstanding, but with an execution-oriented mindset – a leader and a “do-er”
