Description Role Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President of Strategy development for Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) The Director, Business Operations will be responsible to lead PGS strategic initiatives, own and develop the core strategy development & knowledge management processes, and provide operations support for business processes within the PGS Strategy Development team. The incumbent will bring a combination of strategic, analytic, planning and program management skills to initiatives important to advancing PGS priorities.



Responsibilities:

Manage / develop and support the development and deployment of the PGS strategy development process.



Lead and/or support PGS strategic initiatives as assigned with in the strategy development team.



Works in partnership with Strategy development and analytical lead of needs definition for data v information needs.



Develops standard work process both within the strategy development and team, partners within PGS team and functions, such as capital planning, product portfolio management and others in support of an integrated and robust strategy development process.



Defines new, redefines existing process for strategic planning and governance and provides greater efficiency and overall robustness of the strategy development process.



Utilizes process based assessment and tools in achieving a robust and efficient strategy development process

Facilitates and runs the strategic planning council for PGS team members and other cross function partners



Develop analytic recommendations and present conclusions clearly to senior management



Drive full alignment across PGS and commercial on network strategies and defined



Ensure regular, transparent communications with stakeholders on PGS strategic initiatives



Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers



Drive back office capabilities within the PGS Strategy Development group, such as standard work processes



Develops, owns and maintains an ongoing knowledge capability with the PGS organization and strategy development team



Lead the communication strategy to assist and support PGS Leaders in communicating the PGS strategy in a meaningful way to the colleagues in their organizations



Represent PGS on corporate strategic projects as defined by business priorities.



Instill a culture of ownership, leadership and management excellence. Keep a high level of engagement through open communication/dialog and empowerment



Delivers up a process that ensures alignment and partnership with critical PGS enabling function such as external supply operations, engineering, technology functions and others within PGS



Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree is required, advanced technical or business degree is preferred.



The ideal candidate will demonstrate a diverse experience within the pharmaceutical industry, with deep understanding of industry and/or PFE procedures, policies and culture. 10-15+ years of experience preferred with directly related experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Center support.



+ University degree required. Advanced degree preferred.

+ Demonstrated experience in development of business processes, utilization of tools in support of that goal

+ Effective leadership, planning, and motivational qualities to work with in a complex matrix environment.

+ Strong leadership, program/project management and organizational skills. Enthusiasm, confidence, ability to work across multiple businesses, and drive consensus in a large organization.

+ Demonstrated ability to deliver on commitments, align multiple work streams and work successfully with senior level PGS and Corporate leaders.

+ Ability to drive timelines and ensure successful development and endorsement of strategies.

+ Capability to balance competing priorities and to rapidly deliver high quality results in a dynamic environment.

+ Demonstrated ability to successfully build positive working relationships within PGS and with corporate functions/divisions.

+ Proven skills working with and influencing cross-functional teams to align around a shared vision.

+ Ability to bring strategy and analysis to a tactical, executable level; results-oriented.

+ Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in English.

+ Excellent presentation and facilitation skills required.
