Plans, coordinates and builds the fiber deep architecture to meet business demand and deliver on customer expectations.  This will include coordination with local permitting entities and other regulatory agencies to support efficient route designs and OSP construction methodologies for on time and on budget delivery.  Collaborates with functional teams on communication plans providing input on build activity and timing of the build focusing on customer touch points and required resource support.  Governance of build to ensure architecture standards and specifications are in compliance.   Motivates and leads the team focused in 4 areas:  On time, On budget, Safely and To specification of the Fiber deep build! 

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Interfaces with corporate engineering on standards and construction practices. Review and approve all project designs and determines cost effectiveness.
Facilitates new construction methodologies by conducting feasibility studies, inclusive of planning coordinating and budgeting activities - while at the same time managing budget and capital expenses and resources relative to the projects.
Monitors and oversees Planning operations to provide complete, quality services with exceptional reliability and performance to include management of third party vendors.
Provides guidance and renders decisions for process and production control to manage costs.
Oversees the annual and long range planning and budgeting process for CA. 
Ensures work-zone safety, work quality and customer satisfaction
Develops processes to meet regulatory compliance for Planning and Construction. Ensures compliance of Headend/MTC environment standards.
Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local commission and agency rules and regulations
Builds relationships with customers, contractors, vendors, and corporate legal department to negotiate contracts
Responsible for leadership and setting overall performance goals and expectations of the department
Interprets and implements company and departmental policies and procedures.
Promotes continued development of team members and self.


10 or more years of experience required in related field (i.e. HFC/Fiber Construction, Technical Operations, Field Services, Network Maintenance, etc.)
Proven analytical skills with ability to assimilate and manage yearly department budgets, various statistical reports, with significant financial planning experience.
Must be familiar with data, video and telephony transmission and distribution status monitoring systems.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization

BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired
3 or more years of experience in a management role preferred
