The Disruptive Innovation Director will be responsible for supporting Pfizer's Innovation initiatives externally and internally. This colleague will engage with potential external partners, VCs and startups, support the design and execution of digital innovation experiments, and help develop Pfizer's External Innovation Hubs







The Team



Pfizer's Corporate Strategy &; Innovation team is a dynamic and collaborative group. The Innovation team in particular is responsible for providing enterprise-wide services and support, including but not limited to culture and capabilities, connections to external innovations and platform development and execution of cross-divisional opportunities.







As a team member your will have an opportunity to:



Be on the front line of Pfizer's enterprise innovation strategies



Get exposure to cutting edge technologies and ideas outside of Pfizer



Join external events with entrepreneurs and innovation communities



Be trained as a Dare to Try Champion and attend Pfizer's exclusive EX Innovation Conference



Support the execution of digital innovation experiments (70%)



In partnership with the business and the research units, identify business needs that intersect with Pfizer's innovation priority focus areas



Source external innovation solutions that could advance Pfizer's position in these focus areas.



Design experiments to test innovative technologies and/or capabilities in partnership with Pfizer internal stakeholders



Project manage experiments, and help drive an enterprise decision on further scale-up



Engage with external innovation and help develop Pfizer's External Innovation Hubs (30%)



Effectively engage partners from academia, technology companies, venture capital, government agencies or other Pfizer units to help build and maintain our external network



Support Pfizer US and Global external innovation hubs as they identify business challenges, source solutions and lead the communication, interactions and engagement plan of scouts across hubs



Serve as an ambassador across the enterprise to create awareness of opportunities for other teams to leverage the scaled-up technologies and/or capabilities







QUALIFICATIONS:







12+ years of experience in healthcare with understanding of R&D driven organizations



BA/BS or equivalent required, MA/MS/MBA strongly preferred



Entrepreneurial / startup experience is a plus



Experience in professional network development, particularly externally



Quick learner and able to hit the ground running on a new project



Results oriented and self-motivated



Good oral and written communication skills



Business case development experience



Strong project management skills with the ability to manage dependencies and drive team together toward a successful product completion and roll-out



Strong team player with the ability to engage and influence functional experts from a wide range of functional areas Education







NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS



Ability to work effectively via telecons/email



Ability to travel to conferences and partner meetings up to 25% of the time
