The Enterprise Business Continuation Management Office is accountable for developing and managing the Company's business continuation program and monitoring its effectiveness. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Planning Governance & Oversight in Enterprise Business Continuation Management.  In this role, the candidate will act as a relationship manager to International businesses and corporate function BC Officers, consulting and overseeing governance activities.  The individual will also assist the Vice President in performing continuous monitoring and end to end assessments of BC Programs across the enterprise.  Candidates for this position will have demonstrated the ability to collaborate with staff across the Company and develop risk based solutions to identified issues.




Primary Responsibilities include:



·        Establishes and manages BC related reporting requirements



·        Provides guidance to Business Continuation Officers on the implementation of policies, standards and SOPs and the management of business continuation risks



·        Monitors adherence to business continuation policies and standards by conducting reviews of business and corporate function business continuation programs, tracking identified areas of non-compliance, monitoring business continuation metrics and reviewing annual reporting



·        Identifies BC related risks and ensures they receive the right level of visibility through reporting to Senior Leaders within Prudential



·        Assesses business continuation policies and standards against regulatory requirements



·        Coordinates with Health and Wellness and Third Party Risk Management to ensure business continuation requirements are addressed



·        Supports business and corporate functions in representing business continuation to external parties



·        Supports regulatory exams, continuous monitoring and other regulatory interactions



·        Leads / coordinates / supports related special projects and initiatives for the Enterprise Business Continuation Management Program



Identifies and coordinates Prudential’s participation in industry groups

  Over 7 years of experience in risk management concepts and practices, with accompanying business knowledge



·        Must be well versed in vendor governance / business continuity activities and demonstrated ability applying to a business environment



·        Experience working in companies under Federal Reserve Board supervision, interfacing with internal audit and/or knowledge of industry standards is a plus



·        Experience working with International stakeholders



·        Experience project managing projects that cross areas of responsibilities



·        Excellent oral communication skills, with ability to engage different audiences, convey complex information in an accessible way and prepare and give presentations to different audiences



·        A team player that demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to also work independently



·        Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)



·        Adheres to high ethical standards and demonstrates strong work ethic with an emphasis on team commitment, collaboration, acknowledge and build on others ideas, and support group decisions



·        Bachelor’s degree in a related field
