Position Title: Director, Global Communications & Media Relations

The Global Communications team directs internal employee and external communications efforts to ensure the company's messages are aligned and delivered in accordance with Prudential's goals and policies.

To best partner with our individual business groups, we are expanding our Global Communications Group and looking for professionals to help shape and define how external audiences view our brand, its value, services, and products and solutions.



  • Partner with business leads and with experts across Global Communications & Advertising team to construct and execute insight-led, integrated communication strategies and plans that advance business outcomes.
  • Source and develop narratives and multimedia assets that can be leveraged across Prudential’s communication properties.
  • Apply contextual and data-driven insight to meaningful, real-time storytelling.
  • Suggest and leverage thought leadership outputs, surveys, research reports, awards, recognitions and rankings through effective earned media and content marketing strategies.




  • BS/BA from an accredited college/university in any field of academic rigor; Master’s degree a plus.

  • Minimum 8 years experience in business communications or public relations; understanding of editorial, political, business and media cycles, as well as business and enterprise needs and priorities.

  • Digitally fluent with marketing aptitude.

  • Crisp, incisive writer.

  • Demonstrated ability in influencing others and working collaboratively in order to produce results across multiple functional teams.

  • Proven project management skills.

  • Proven ability to crystallize issues, connect ideas and objectives, and act independently and opportunistically.

  • Critical and creative thinker. Able to apply intellectual curiosity to all aspects of this role.

  • Possess a global worldview; overseas experience and foreign language skills desirable.

  • Have an executive presence and poise.

  • Minimal travel in NY tri-state area.
