UHS is currently looking for a Director of Growth and Physician Relations to oversee UHS’ Acute Division Physician Relationship Manager (PRM) program aimed at alignment with physicians and growth of business relationships with them.  In the role, you will: 

  • Develop volume growth strategies and reinforces the use of established systematic, effective tools and tactics related to the development and maintenance of physician relationships. 
  • Provide guidance, share insights, participate in market strategic discussions with facility leaders, identifying growth opportunities and addressing common issues. 
  • Serve as a sales and relationship coach who actively evaluates physician visits, de-brief on effectiveness, craft development plans and guide the market/hospital regarding the performance of PRM at the local level. 
  • Ensure that the right administrative processes, reporting, analysis and technology supports are in place to enable PRM Program success.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelors degree required, with a Masters preferred.
  • Successful experience in healthcare sales or network development environment; experience in physician relations, network, marketing or business development required.
  • Able to analyze physician volume data, payer mix and link to service line capabilities, development and overall hospital and market positioning. Proven knowledge of hospital operating environment needed.
  • Thorough knowledge of physician, hospital and healthcare issues including managed care/reimbursement, practice operation issues, credentialing, recruitment and governance.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.  Ability to articulate change/value propositions to physicians and their staff.  Excellent human relations skills with the ability to impact and influence results.
