**About Pfizer Patient and Health Impact**



Patient and Health Impact (PHI) is a newly formed group within Pfizer that brings together experts in health economics and outcomes research, real-world data, patient-centered outcomes assessment, market access, pricing, strategy and contracting. **ROLE SUMMARY**



The Director, Global HEOR PEH, is responsible for development and execution of high quality HEOR strategic efforts to support optimal reimbursement and access of multiple Therapeutic Area Portfolios, with a focus on delivering and communicating robust evidence demonstrating the value of the product(s), successfully impacting business objectives on a global basis.



The Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) Director will function with a one-Patient and Health Impact mindset and work in a closely aligned fashion with the PEH team to ensure there is a single and coordinated view on strategy and delivery from PHI to the PEH BU. The HEOR Director will be a strategic partner primarily to the Global Teams and also to Regional/Country Teams and implement an HEOR strategy that supports the assets as part of the broader PEH PHI Business Team. Knowledge of the Hospital Care Business and Men's/Women's Health as asset.







**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**







+ Partner with the global product / therapeutic area asset/portfolio teams to align, develop and execute the Global HEOR strategy to support the value of assets/portfolio in the PEH Business Unit.



+ Lead the execution of HEOR studies and projects in alignment with the global HEOR strategy to support and enhance the value proposition for Therapeutic Area(s)/Portfolio.



+ Create and maintain global value dossiers, evidence blueprints, payer value messages, and innovative tools



+ Develop and utilize cost-effectiveness, budget impact, and health impact model(s) to communicate the public health and economic value of {insert asset(s)



+ Conduct observational studies (burden of disease, outcomes research, costing studies, etc...) within non-interventional study processes



+ Develop real world evidence generation strategies and execute studies (e.g.,Treatment patterns, real world effectiveness, burden of illness, costing, epidemiology studies, etc) within non-interventional study processes



+ Incorporate humanistic and economic endpoints into clinical trials across all phases of product development to build comprehensive trial-based evidence in line with overall medical strategy & access targets for the asset(s)



+ Generate peer-reviewed publications to communicate study findings in scientific channels in alignment of product publication strategy



+ Development and validation of new Patient Reported Outcomes measures as appropriate for inclusion across clinical trials, registries, and prospective real world studies.



+ Lead the coordination of input from local country/regional Health & Value teams on evidence needs and ensure that the input is appropriately incorporated to support global market access needs.



+ Support country/regional Health & Value launch and post launch deliverables including adaptations of global tools such as value dossiers, evidence blueprints, economic models, and innovative tools to successfully support global launch and post-launch reimbursement and access requirements



+ Partner with the International, CoE and other groups in PHI as appropriate



+ Provide strategic input in the selection of relevant patient population and comparators within clinical trials to enable successful negotiations, reimbursement, and appropriate patient access with global payer and regulatory decision makers.



+ Develop strategic partnerships and research collaborations with key external experts, healthcare policy makers, payers, and academic institutions to support asset strategies as needed for the portfolio and markets



+ Assess, synthesize, and interpret relevant literature, and communicate to internal and external stakeholders



+ Execute and manage research projects with external collaborators/vendors to ensure timely completion and quality of deliverables as well as budget/legal compliance



+ Influence O&E policies and methodological advances inside and outside the company by participating / leading in key cross-divisional task forces to help improve processes and standards in O&E research programs.



+ Remain fully compliant to all Pfizer SOPs



+ Domestic and international travel required







**QUALIFICATIONS**







+ Masters (MSc, MPH) or Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, ScD) in health services research, public health, epidemiology, or health economics



+ 8 to 10 years experience in HEOR and relevant related fields, including excellent knowledge of healthcare systems



+ Proficiency in methodological approaches and tools in health services research including



+ Cost-effectiveness / budgetary impact modeling,



+ Prospective and retrospective data analyses



+ Strong customer-orientation and proven ability to operate effectively in the matrix environment



+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects



+ Excellent oral and written English communication skills required
