This role is a Director position responsible for the Differentiated Drug Delivery/Life Cycle Management asset portfolio reporting to the Pipeline Delivery Lead in Pfizer Essential Health. Pfizer Essential Health (PEH) includes i.) brands that have lost market exclusivity and generally the mature patent protected products that are expected to lose exclusivity through 2015 in most major markets, ii) the Sterile Injectables (SI) business iii) Biosimilars and iv.) current and future established products growth initiatives.

The SI business is a $7B+ segment for PEH and one of the key pillars of the PEH growth strategy.

The Global SI strategy is comprised of 3 key pillars:

+ 1) Re-vitalize the Base

+ 2) Change the Game to Complex, and

+ 3) Grab ex-US Leadership. The DDD/LCM portfolio is a key strategic growth pillar for Global SI providing opportunity for leadership and development.

The **Director, DDD/LCM Pipeline Development** role will be directly responsible for driving profitable growth in the global sterile injectables business within the DDD/LCM pipeline segment (Differentiated). This position will be primarily accountable for driving successful execution of DDD/LCM pipeline product launches by collaborating effectively with R&D, global, and regional stakeholders. As this role will impact key strategic, new product launches in the next few years, the individual must ensure that project objectives, plans and the subsequent execution requirements are understood and adopted by all regions, and will drive the continuous improvement of the DDD/LCM pipeline development process. The Director is responsible for implementing Differentiated Drug Delivery and Lifecycle Management strategies across products, including molecule identification, creating business cases, and serving as the commercial lead for implementing DDD and LCM projects. As a leader in this dynamic business, this person will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities at the executive level.


In this role, your responsibilities will include:

+ Maximizing the value of key product lines by implementing clear long-term LCM strategy for the SI portfolio, including multi-generational product improvement roadmaps for new pipeline and marketed products

+ Serves as the commercial lead for all regions in DDD/LCM efforts, and must provide guidance for shaping regional priorities

+ Lead and execute timely global launches for new pipeline and global expansion products

+ Commercially supporting first global launches and transitions program responsibilities to the appropriate global and regional marketing counterparts at an appropriate time

+ Runs analytics and delivers full financial P&Ls for the markets

+ Oversees/Coordinates market research as needed

+ Interacts with and influences a broad range of functions involved with the development and commercialization of SI products, including R&D, clinical, regulatory, quality, operations, global/regional commercial, finance, and legal functions to ensure that launch plans are coordinated and supported

+ Oversees and reports metrics regarding the launch status, milestones, risks and opportunities

+ Proactively communicates issues and challenges, and works to remove barriers to success

+ Leads regional launch meetings to ensure the interests of the sales and marketing organizations are represented in the appropriate corporate and regional initiatives

+ Monitoring the market, competitors, and trends in the global sterile injectables space

+ Other responsibilities as assigned


**Educational Requirements** **:**


+ Bachelor's in marketing or similar business discipline. MBA strongly preferred.

+ A minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience with product development and/or commercialization including 3 years of lifecycle product management or project management experience in the Pharma or Life Sciences field.

Key capabilities required:

+ Market / P&L experience ideal including launch

+ Strong analytics along with comfort with ambiguity and speed of decision making

+ Strong leadership & influencing skills; matrix management


+ Occasional travel (<=20% travel required)
