What You’ll Do

Lead the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) team for the Enterprise Networking businesses (Enterprise Switching, Enterprise Routing, Wireless, IOT, and Small Business). This includes driving demand signal alignment for bookings, revenue, and units across Business Unit, Finance, Sales, and Supply Chain for these businesses.


The IBP team is accountable for leading OPTs (Operations Product Teams) in close partnership with Global Management Operations, Product Operations, and other Supply Chain Operations functions to deliver revenue attainment, customer experience, market share, financial (including inventory driven costs), and other fulfillment supply chain business outcomes. OPTs are chartered to achieve these business outcomes by managing these major Integrated Business Plan elements:

·       Plan and achieve revenue goals

·       Product delivery service level performance

·       Inventory driven cost and affordability

·       Sense future business needs

·       Plan tracking & financials

·       Operations product lifecycle

·       Enable Sales & Customer wins


Lead the quarterly OPT Strategic Planning Process with leaders from the Business Units, Finance, Sales, and OPT members from your business segment to understand business strategies/priorities and set enabling fulfillment supply chain outcomes and strategies.


Who You’ll Work With

Lead team of IBP Managers and IBP Planners. This director role requires significant collaboration with many cross-functional executive leaders within Operations, Business Entities, Finance, and Sales.

·       Deeply experienced in leading cross-functional teams to achieve results by identifying and aligning on shared goals, priorities, and commitments.  Adept at seeing cause and effect between supply chain actions and strategic business outcomes. Skilled at anticipating future threats and opportunities for our customers and businesses, and making decisions based on global business conditions and strategies. Able to hold peers, partners, and self accountable.


·       Accomplished in advanced supply chain, financial and statistical analysis skills to lead and coach cross-functional teams to assess, frame, and drive data-driven decisions. Skilled at recognizing underlying themes, trends, and patterns (quarter over quarter, year or year) to explain current performance in the context of the macro business situation and use this insight to predict and prescribe future financial, operational, and delivery service level outcomes.


·       Highly effective at leading conversations that influence and drive optimized decisions with multiple senior executive stakeholders (VP and SVP). Confident in presenting own position despite resistance or unfavorable reactions from others. Able to handle problems or conflicts with others openly and directly. Committed and willing to take risks, make decisions, and escalate when needed to achieve desired business outcomes.


·       Deeply experienced in S&OP, end-to-end supply chain planning processes, inventory management, product life-cycle management, sourcing, supply chain financials, and/or supply chain modeling.


·       Knowledgeable of Cisco’s customers, markets, products, business models, and macro business environment. Able to align internal processes with corporate objectives. Effective in representing that understanding in compelling ways to others.


·       Knowledgeable of how business is transacted through Cisco’s systems and overall IT architecture. Able to influence IT architecture to meet business needs.


·       An experienced Director-level leader (3+ year). A model for servant leadership principles and values. Effective at ensuring processes, systems, and people operate in concert with each other and required training, support, and metrics are in place to measure and self-correct performance. Skilled at translating business and process improvement strategies into operational objectives and plans for the group, including resourcing, budgets and commitment plans. Accomplished at providing coaching and guidance on job performance and career development. Deliberate at developing and nurturing a global, diverse, and inclusive team environment.
