As the Director of Integrated Marketing Services, you will have oversight over the brand, creative and integrated media planning and placement across Cox Business. In this role you will be responsible for the overarching brand messaging and positioning as well as leading our integrated media planning and strategy across content and media (traditional, digital and social). Your work on our national efforts will produce a powerful strategic advantage against an ever-growing field of business-to-business competitors and media complexity.  

As the leader for brand, creative and integrated media strategy you will:

-build solid relationships with agency partners as well as internal clients
-serve as the primary liaison for Cox Business and the advertising agency 
-be empowered to manage, lead and develop others 
-play an active “hands-on” role in the deployment of strategic plans

This role reports to the Executive Director of Marketing and Sales Operations and serves as the primary advertising agency liaison for Cox Business. The Director and his/her team will act as the center of excellence for Cox Business in developing best practices, guidelines and governance across both traditional and non-traditional media, including but not limited to, display, paid search and the use of content, mobile, social and any other new and innovative technology, ensuring the centralized brand, creative and integrated media efforts will benefit Field and corporate efforts.

Major responsibilities in this role:

  • Provide brand, creative and integrated media planning and placement oversight across Cox Business. 
  • Evaluate Cox Business’ brand portfolio and evolve existing documented brand strategies, guideline, visual identity and architecture. 
  • Lead a strategic roadmap for how Cox Business can aggressively seek to leverage the content, digital, social and mobile media landscape, as well as provide corporate governance for how the Cox Business brand engages in the marketplace. Develop an earned, owned and bought digital strategy for Cox Business. 
  • Lead agency creative output across a range of tactics, including but not limited to: direct mail, email, radio, television, outdoor print and non-traditional media as well.
  • Interact with Field and Center Marketing leadership, agencies and media vendors to ensure program effectiveness. 
  • Provide a high degree of rigor and structure through Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) plan, as well as a catalyst for media creativity. 
  • Lead the standardization across in-depth media research and analytics which power ROI calculators to determine effective levels of media spend. Develop, assess and hypothesize the use of media and related data for segmentation and engagement planning. Hold agency partners accountable with relevant metrics.



  • 10+ years of experience in related brand, creative, integrated media planning expertise
  • Strategic thinking and courageous innovation that reshapes markets
  • Creative sensibility to identify big ideas for marketing campaigns
  • Forward-looking leadership, unbound by what has been done, what is traditional, and what has worked in the past
  • 12+ years of experience in related brand, creative, integrated media planning expertise 
  • BA/BS degree in a related discipline strongly preferred (marketing, advertising, etc.)
  • Cable/telecommunications experience or MBA
  • 3+ years of experience in a management role preferred
  • Experience managing a $15 million or more annual media spend preferred
  • Strengths in leading content, media optimization, methods to ensure maximum ROI and tracking on all media investments
  • Experience leading integrated media programs, engagement and connection planning, including content, digital (display, SEM, mobile) and social media
  • Highly analytical and results-driven 
  • Well-developed team-building and influencing skills, and the experience and confidence to effectively lead teams and influence executive leaders as well as regional manager team 
  • Externally aware of the changing digital landscape and can function in a highly competitive market
  • Judgment, diplomacy, polish and integrity to be a trusted adviser and team player among peers and top management
