**Role Summary**







The Director of Internal Medicine-U.S. Regional Strategy - Strategic Planning will be responsible for leading insights generation and innovative strategy development to maximize the impact of our Internal Medicine field force of 2,000+ colleagues, with a focus on Strategic Planning. The colleague will join a distinctive team with a demonstrated record of preparing colleagues for promoted opportunities across various functions, e.g., sales leadership, account management leadership, marketing, commercial operations, advanced analytics.







The individual should possess a combination of strategic thinking, analytical expertise, project management skills with excellent communication and presentation abilities to help the Internal Medicine US organization achieve aggressive patient impact and revenue targets. S/he will need to collaborate closely with brand marketing, sales, account management, payer, Medical, corporate affairs, legal and finance teams.







Depending on the colleague's previous experience, key responsibilities may include:







Provide Strategy and Analytics support for the Key Account Management and Institutional Sales or Mid-Atlantic Regional Business Director and their Cross-functional Area Leadership team







+ Facilitate productive and positive business review environment by working with Region Leaders to diagnosis key performance drivers and develop data-driven insights and robust action plans to address recent trends and performance



+ Proactively identify local opportunities to drive innovation







Align Sales Organization Execution and Strategy with the Pain Cluster or Eliquis / Chantix Brand teams







+ Collaborate with Business Analytics and Insights (BAI) on customized analytical support to diagnose brand performance, shape strategy and inform Op Plan development



+ Facilitate on design, implementation and measurement of Brand Initiatives related to Field Force execution, e.g. targeting, pilots, contests



+ Ensure timely proactive communication of brand strategy and execution metrics to peers and Regional Sales leaders







Lead one of our prioritized Field Force Dare to Try Initiatives to shape the future of our go-to-market model - IMax (next generation of Digital Rep Advisor) or Think Local (customer-centric deployment model)







+ Work closely with the newly created Innovation Accelerator to deliver proof of concept for minimum viable product (MVP) for rapid testing



+ Lead a cross-functional team of internal and external colleagues to prioritize experiments, critical assumptions to be tested, develop project and milestone plans and associated timelines



+ Manage experiments, adapt in market and synthesize learnings including integration into the 2019 Op Plan







Lead Tanezumab pre-launch field force planning







+ Partner with the US cross-functional team to identify novel go-to-market strategy and new capabilities required for launch success



+ Develop optimal deployment strategy for KAMs and reps across the alliance



+ Update Launch Excellence playbook with learnings from recent internal and external launches (e.g., Duavee, Ibrance, Eucrisa, Embeda) to enhance our organizational readiness







**Travel** : 25-33% travel required for Team Meetings, Sales Meetings, Field Rides, etc







**Location** : NYHQ; Relocation assistance available per Pfizer Relocation SUPPORT policy (fka Pfizer Relocation LUMP SUM Policy)







**Qualifications**







+ BA/BS Degree required. MBA or other advanced professional degree (e.g., PhD, MD, JD) preferred



+ 7 - 10 years of previous pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales/consulting experience with a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, broader trends in healthcare landscape and economics.



+ 4+ years of recent commercial analytical experience including broad background in consulting, marketing and business analytics, health economics, marketing strategy, key account management or equivalent set of experiences required



+ Excellent analytical skills, including strategic thinking, ability to frame problems and opportunities using supporting data, problem solving and measuring impact



+ Demonstrated proficiency at leading complex multi-faceted projects and managing cross-functional teams



+ A thought leader and self-starter, proactively identifying the need for specific analyses and programs, and marshaling the resources to evaluate and resolve the most challenging, strategic issues



+ Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to lead change and influence without direct authority



+ Ability to influence and establish good working relationships with senior executives



+ Excellent communication skills, including presentations, PowerPoint/written, meeting facilitation, and one-on-one/small group



+ Passion for innovation and excellence in achieving results
