The LCBE ITG group services the Information Technology (IT) needs of our Law, Compliance, Business Ethics and External Affairs (LCBE) customers. ITG has a primary point of contact for each Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and Chief Legal Officer (CLO) to understand and support the technology needs of the business. We are currently seeking a Director to provide leadership for the Strategic Platforms team to deliver on several key technology initiatives in support of our Compliance and Business Ethics customers.

This position will report directly to the VP of Information Technology and Head of Compliance Technology within LCBE ITG group. This individual will coordinate the activity for several key compliance applications and will have oversight of the related application infrastructure. This individual will also have oversight and accountability for other initiatives and projects to support LCBE including RFP analysis, tool selection and new application implementations. This individual will both deliver technology solutions and provide leadership to the team that provides ongoing support of implemented solutions.

Provide systems services to support LCBE. Our services portfolio includes a mixture of internally built web applications, and third party vendor provided software solutions hosted within Prudential or externally via Software as a Service (SaaS). Provide IT development (software and hardware) expertise to LCBE staff across a wide spectrum of applications for Compliance. The incumbent will partner with our customers to recommend, develop, provide and implement technology solutions and oversee existing technology services supported and maintained by the organization. Incumbent will have overall accountability and project management oversight for the portfolio, and overall service delivery for supported applications. In conjunction with the Pramerica team lead, the incumbent will also be responsible for the oversight of the service delivery and infrastructure components for applications supported by the Pramerica resources in Ireland.


Additional responsibilities include:

  • Partner with the LCBE ITG executive team in the delivery of technology services including leveraging your expertise to recommend solutions
  • Execute Build Versus Buy scenarios when identifying software/systems solutions for use within the LCBE Organization
  • Engage in Project Management and governance of the SDLC methodology for software, hardware and Web projects
  • Research cutting edge technology in support of LCBE objectives
  • Manage the system development and release activity for applications supported by LCBE
  • Provide ongoing support of systems and technology services, with emphasis on Compliance systems
  • Manage external vendors and SaaS providers to ensure technical requirements and service delivery is in line with LCBE expectations

Critical Skills:

  • 10 years experience in Technology holding roles of increasing responsibility
  • 5 to 7 years experience directly managing IT organizations and teams
  • Highly proficient at navigating the GBTS landscape and strong understanding of GBTS procedures is a must.
  • Experience with Compliance systems such as sanctions screening, GRC, securities trade pre-clearance, marketing review, etc. is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface effectively in various capacities with senior leaders.
  • 7 years of Project or Program Management experience
  • BS/BA Degree required preferably in an IT discipline
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Familiarity with the management of IT budgets, forecasts and estimation models
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems and negotiate effectively
  • Practical experience leading/managing large projects
  • Experience in forming strategic partnerships with technology and business partners in a collaborative manner
  • Strong analytical, organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Experience facilitating cross functional teams
  • Strong customer service mindset with ability to appropriately balance risk with service delivery expectations.
  • Experience collaborating with application architects/developers and infrastructure engineers to identify, design, and implement highly complex, end-to-end solutions.
  • Respected leader with demonstrated ability to influence colleagues at senior, junior and peer levels
