We are currently recruiting a Director of Managed Care - Acute Division supporting IPM. 

Responsibilities:

Responsible for delivering payer contracts to IPM that support revenue growth, near-term budgets and longer term market pricing positioning, along with appropriate terms and conditions to minimize both administrative burden and gap between expected and collected net revenue.  Acts as an advisory source to, and liaison between, IPM and Acute Division Managed Care regional directors, who conduct day-to-day activities with payers.  Collaborate with IPM revenue cycle team to manage IPM revenue cycle needs. Coordinates all of these related activities among and between IPM and Acute Division Managed Care to increase efficiencies and performance of UHS’ managed care portfolios.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

Comprehensive working knowledge of managed care physician contracting and practices (e.g., CPT, ICD-10) sufficient to maximize revenue generated from these sources.  Extensive knowledge of health care reimbursement practices and (physician) contractual language.  Knowledge of Clinical Integration and associated contracting guidelines.

Demonstrated managed care contract negotiation and drafting skills.  Demonstrated inter-personal and written and verbal communication skills required in imparting and developing physician contracting practices to Acute Care and IPM executive management staff.
