Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to help shape and define how external audiences view our brand, its value, services, and products and solutions.
  • Lead and manage a team of editors and analysts including coaching, performance management, talent development, hiring, etc.
  • Design and develop the infrastructure to modernize and broaden Prudential’s media reach and bring communications strategy to life.
  • Anticipate story and news angles and content needs.
  • Apply media insight to advise business decisions.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with media targets, both traditional and non-traditional.
  • Inform audience and partnership development.
  • Direct earned media content creation and deployment.



  • Bachelor’s degree in any field of academic rigor; Advanced degree a plus

  • 10 years of professional experience, preferably a mix of journalism, corporate and public relations agency experience

  • Possess solid news judgment and media relations savvy

  • Experience and passion for developing junior talent

  • Understand the media as a business, seeks to master its emerging business model

  • Knowledge of media strategy across traditional, social and emerging platforms

  • Ability to operate with both institutional and retail consumer media outlets

  • Crisp and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to design processes, integrate concepts and lead through influence

  • Ability to devise and execute planned campaigns founded on differentiated insight

  • Apply insights from analytical tools to shape outcomes
