Pepsi Beverages Company (PBC) is PepsiCo's beverage manufacturing, sales and distribution operating unit in the United States, Canada and Mexico. This position will be part of the CCO - National Retail Sales Organization.

The Director for Non-Carbonated Beverages for the DSD side of the business plays a critical role in growing both top line and bottom line NCB results on the Walmart team. In addition to having responsibility for over +$500 million in annual sales, this person is also the primary contact for the Emerging beverages buyer at Walmarts Home Office. This is an exciting role as the Director will be a part of growing categories like tea, coffee, and Water. Its an exciting time for innovation. The position reports to Sr Dir DSD Sales, Walmart Beverage team and has one direct report.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide superior customer service
  • Primary point of contact with Walmart Emerging Bev Buyer; Tea, Coffee, Sparkling Water
  • Secondary point of contact with Walmart Water Buyer; Aquafina and LifeWater
  • Primary seller of Pepsis national initiatives, innovation, and account specific programs
  • Assist in creating annual joint business plans
  • Wire to multiple parties within Walmarts Home Office to ensure flawless execution
  • Ownership of account communication with all key stakeholders
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Execute against and deliver 2017 planned performance metrics on Volume, Net Rev, Net Price, MC, and Share
  • Execute 2018 CSD Plan at Walmart by delivering against key Emerging Bev growth drivers like Inventory, national Ads, PO quantities, COMAC inclusion, authorization letters, etc.
  • Deliver 2018 Innovation planned volume/revenue targets by selling/executing against all facets of a successful Innovation launch.
  • Work with Walmart to streamline their communication of COMAC activity from HO to store. Own feature planner recommendations and input into Leadership Weekly for major launches.
  • Own and continue to improve Big Picture communique
  • Co-develop 2019 JBP plan by executing Brand immersion, Discovery sessions, Big Bet planning sessions, and Growth summit leading to 2019 Plan
  • Co-develop 2019 AOP plan ready for Q4 AOP meeting and eventual full system alignment
  • Identify new merchandising, branding, pricing, and activation/marketing opportunities for 2018 and 2019 that drive space and sales


Qualifications / Requirements :

  • Bachelors Degree

Work Experience:
  • Minimum 7 years of sales experience; preferably with a consumer packaged goods organization
  • A minimum of 5 years of fact-based direct selling experience
  • Previous people management experience

  • Exceptional leadership and customer management skills.
  • Superior time management skills, ability to multitask, set priorities and plan.
  • Strong use of influencing skills to gain alignment, agreement, and commitments (internal/external).
  • Strong ability to work within and be successful in a highly matrixed environment.

  • Excellent communication skills: ability to send and receive information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work independently, and solve problems by leveraging multiple function support.
  • Strong planning/organizing skills: capable of managing major projects simultaneously.
  • Above average finance skills in order to build compelling profit wins for customer and internal stakeholders.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently without constant direct supervision.
  • Superior presentation skills, both in development of compelling stories and in presenting them at all levels within customer and internal organization.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
