River Park Hospital, a leading behavioral health facility located in Huntington, WV, is seeking a Director of Acute Therapeutic Services.  The Director of Acute Therapeutic Services is responsible for the development, implementation, on-going oversight and supervision of clinical programs for adult, geriatric, forensics, and child and adolescent programs and is responsible for the supervision of the acute care case management services including utilization review, insurance verification, and discharge planning. The Director of Acute Therapeutic Services provides support to the CEO in the development of comprehensive and effective clinical programs including therapy, nursing, psychology, case management, and social services.  The Director of Therapeutic Services will evaluate and make recommendations around the delivery of services in an effective manner for all programs of River Park Hospital. 

Essential Core Functions:

  1. Assist in establishing standards of practice. 
  2. Deliver effective clinical and fiscal management. 
  3. Ensure compliance with standards.
  4. Development and review of clinical programs.
  5. Training and supervision of staff.
  6. Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance.
  7. Writes and implements policies and procedures.
  8. Clinical supervision of staff and student interns.
  9. Leads Performance Improvement Teams as needed
  10. Participates in marketing and business development activities.
  11. Serves on internal and external committees and initiatives.
Job Requirements

Job Specifications:

Education, Certification/Licensure, and/or Experience

  1. Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field
  2. Minimum of five years’ experience working with the behavioral health population, including children, adolescents, geriatrics, and adults.
  3. Minimum two years of experience in clinical and administrative supervision.
  4. Must have current licensure in the State of West Virginia as a Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Professional Counselor.

c.  Leadership/supervisory/clinical skills.

d.  Knowledge of Joint Commission and other regulatory standards.

e.  Ability to solve problems and resolve conflict.
