Director of Admissions  

The Director of Admissions has oversight of admissions centralized call center at Cedar Ridge and Bethany Behavioral Health, a unit of Cedar Ridge. Cedar Ridge is a behavioral health facility that encompasses a 116-bed acute psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center on a beautifully wooded campus with a stocked pond, school, outdoor courtyard and playground.  Bethany Behavioral a Unit of Cedar Ridge Hospital is a newly renovated 60-bed psychiatric hospital offering adult behavioral health programs and treatment services in the Oklahoma City area. Description: The Admissions Director serves as a key member of leadership on the senior management team.  Directs the operations of the Admissions department and the quality of assessment, referral, and admissions activities of the facility through policies, procedures, performance improvement, and the supervision of licensed and non-licensed admissions clinicians.  Assigns responsibilities to assure prompt response to patient needs.  Reviews and maintains all documents and departmental logs and assigns physicians to admitted patients. Performs admissions responsibilities and provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff. Performs duties in accordance with the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care, and the facility’s mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards.


Job Requirements


  • Experience: Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population required, preferably in an inpatient setting. 1-2 years management experience required.
  • Education: Masters Degree in Counseling, Psychology or Human Services field required.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current certification or licensure by the State of Oklahoma (LCSW, LPC, LMFT), or license eligible preferred.
