Havenwyck Hospital is a 243 bed, Joint Commission accredited and licensed psychiatric and substance abuse facility. We specializing in providing behavioral health and substance abuse treatment and are located in Auburn Hills overlooking Lake Galloway. 

Havenwyck Hospital provides a continuum of individualized treatment to children, adolescents and adults needing psychiatric and/or substance abuse treatment. Havenwyck strives to create a customized treatment plan for each individual based on level of maturity, life experiences, needs and other factors. Patients at Havenwyck are treated by a qualified multi-disciplinary team, including, but not limited to, a psychiatrist, registered nurses, social workers and recreational therapists, in a warm, supportive environment. Havenwyck Hospital's Residential Treatment Center is a secure treatment program for children and adolescents ages 8 to 17, with emotional and/or behavioral impairments that require them to be in a secure, 24-hour supervised therapeutic living situation. For more information, please visit our website at havenwyckhospital.com. 

Havenwyck Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Director of Business Development to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals.

The Director of Business Development/Marketing is responsible for preparing, implementing, monitoring, and revising the Hospital's Marketing Plan when needed as well as all public relations activities. These efforts will support specific, quantified marketing objectives pertaining to market share, reimbursement mix, patient census, community awareness, educational workshops, special events, advertising and media.  Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develops departmental objectives which keep activities focused and results oriented based on admissions to the hospital.

  • Analyzes historical trends and compares current performance on a monthly basis.

  • Monitors competition and notifies appropriate staff of new developments.

  • Evaluates the progress of efforts toward goals.

  • Performs or coordinates marketing research. 

  • Plans special events. 

  • Manages the Business Development/Marketing employees.

  • This position could travel 70% of the time, most of the travel is locally.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in business, marketing, social sciences, or a related clinical field required. Masters degree with a concentration in marketing and/or finance preferred. 

  • Three - five years of experience in marketing, strategic planning, or communications with some management experience required.

  • Experience working in a health care environment preferred.

  • Employees must be in good standing (employment/corrective action history, performance evaluations, etc.) to be considered for internal transfer.
