Job Description

Cedar Hills Hospital - located just 15 minutes from downtown Portland - is an 89-bed, free-standing psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care. We provide a wide range of services and programs that offer evidence-based treatment proven to have positive outcomes for our patients. Our inpatient and outpatient services offer supportive and compassionate care through specialty programs that are tailored to meet the needs of our patients.   

The Director of Clinical Services for Inpatient provides the leadership and strategic planning of the clinical services programs offered at the inpatient facility; ensuring programs meet the needs of the community and the facility's performance goals and objectives. Responsibilities include oversight of all administrative processes, oversight of management systems for all clinical services offered at the inpatient facility, promotion and maintenance of a therapeutic environment, and development and implementation of evidence-based clinical treatment programs. This position is also responsible for the strategic direction and regulatory compliance of inpatient programming, rehabilitative therapy and case management.

Job Requirements

Education - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, social work, or related mental health field; Master's Degree required. LCSW, LMFT, or LPC required.

Experience - Minimum of five (5) years experience in psychiatric/mental health field, with a minimum of three (3) years experience in advanced clinical/management practice.

License - Appropriate state licensure in mental health.

Additional Requirements - A strong knowledge of The Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA regulations, and patient rights standards and all other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities. CPR/BLS Certification.

Training - Successful completion of Crisis Management and Service Excellence training must occur within 30 days of employment and prior to assisting in any restraining procedures. May be requied to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
