Description Role Summary

The Global Investigations and Risk Assessment team within the Compliance Division is looking for a talented and highly-motivated team member to help lead our compliance reporting, data collection, analytics and systems activities. The Director of Compliance Systems and Reporting role supports compliance investigations, CAPA/root cause analysis, and risk assessment activities, and oversees and delivers on data-intensive compliance reporting and analytics projects. The role covers three areas of responsibility: 1) Project Management; 2) Technology/Systems Maintenance and Improvements; and 3) Reporting/Analytics.

As a member of our team, you will work closely with our Investigations, Risk Assessment Center of Excellence (COE) and Compliance Investigations and Governance functions to ensure the integrity of systems reporting and analytics of legal compliance and investigations data. This position requires a strong background in legal and compliance project and data management, knowledge and expertise to assess current systems and data to identify trends, develop global reporting and dashboards that integrate and translate data analytics into meaningful and comprehensive information for business leaders and key stakeholders, and has strong technical, communication and organization skills to advance strategic data and analytics projects that deliver on the Division objectives. The ideal candidate is very motivated and willing to take on challenges, able to multi-task to succeed, and has the ability to understand data intensive material to generate meaningful reporting.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of strategic data and analytics processes to enable day-to-day intake, coordination and execution for reporting, data analytics/visualization projects and assignments, and perform regular data integrity checks in systems.

• Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports.

• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

• Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

• Develop strategic reports, communicate output of report requests (visualization of data), validate and design procedures and provide backup for reporting data (quality assurance)

• Work with the GRC Systems/Investigations Director/CAPA Director to develop and implement strategies for the organization, cleanup and maintenance of data in systems and tools to ensure data integrity

• Support assessment, testing, implementation and training of system enhancements on version upgrades, and new systems, features and reporting design and outputs

• Assist with backend data and software support (e.g., TeamConnect, Tableau, as needed) to enable efficient and effective reporting solutions

• Provide input and identify issues and risks in projects and form problem resolution and solutions

• Assist in preparation of reporting and presentation material, offer new ways to look at data and ways to improve reporting functions to enable effective strategic decision-making and processes

• Develop and maintain systems and procedure documentation of existing and new systems, and proactively identify and document solutions in the systems to encourage sharing of information

• Provide support on task/project management, risk assessment, root cause analysis, and programmatic remediation issue tracking on investigations matter management and related activities as needed

• Support knowledge management initiatives for the team and Compliance Division, as assigned


• BS or BA degree

• 7+ years minimum project management experience, data intensive (e.g., systems, reporting, dashboards, analytics) a plus

• A team player with a passion for creative problem solving and strong organizational skills

• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across a variety of teams and individuals (e.g., interactions with attorneys, support staff, senior management and business technology)

• Project management skills, including organizing, planning, scheduling, and prioritizing to meet established deadlines and milestones

• Proficiency in the use of databases, report generation and systems support practices

• Demonstrated knowledge of legal applications and systems used in legal services, including matter management, document automation and productivity tools

• Demonstrated ability to translate and present systems and reporting concepts in terms that are understandable to non-technical end users

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion concerning highly confidential, privileged information

• Proficiency with MS office, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS Project, MS PowerPoint and ability to use enterprise software, Tableau, TeamConnect and a GRC system.
