The E&I Director of Digital Marketing is responsible for helping to plan and develop digital experiences as part of a rapidly growing number of integrated B2B, B2C and B2B2C strategies that build brand awareness, acquire, engage and retain consumers and organizations through digital products, platforms, content and technologies. More specifically, This individual will partner with Marketing leaders to shape the overarching integrated campaign strategy, help define the appropriate analytics and measurement plan, and work across a highly-matrixed environment to ensure smooth campaign delivery and ongoing optimization.  This is a new, highly visible role will work closely across with leaders at all levels across the organization with a particular focus on optimizing the user experience across internally and externally facing websites (most notable uhc.com), landing pages online advertising, paid search, paid display, search engine optimization and social media. 
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Owns output of the entire system made up of all related processes
  • Drives programs that impact markets of customers and consumers
  • Develops, translates and executes strategies or functional and operational objectives at the segment level
  • Product, service or process decisions are most likely to impact the entire enterprise, industry, and/or marketplace
  • Develops, translates and executes strategies or functional / operational objectives for a region, line of business, or major portion of a business segment functional area
  • Manage cross - functional relationships within marketing, technology, consumer insights, analytics, product, and sales teams to ensure a consistent message across consumer touch points to maximize results
  • Drive use of digital analytics to provide insights and with recommendations to reach the consumer in new ways and improve digital marketing ROI, future recommendations and overall strategies
  • Helps develop innovative and consumer - centric digital marketing plans for awareness, education, acquisition and retention, through insights, meaningful engagements and brand development of consumer targets
  • Collaborate with business leaders and internal / external partners to lead our consumer-centric digital marketing vision and roadmap, aligned with UHC technology and systems
  • Manage dedicated digital marketing staff, oversee cross - functional teams and direct external partners
  • Stay curious and maintain awareness of progressive marketplace 'best practice' and industry trends
  • Acts as an overall digital SME for the Marketing organization
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing or related field 
  • 8+ years of marketing experience 
  • 6+ years of B2B and B2C digital marketing experience with an emphasis on integrated marketing campaigns.
  • 4+ years experience working with Adobe Experience Manager or similar CMS
  • 4+ years  experience working with Adobe Target or similar testing tools
  • 4+ years experience working with Adobe Analytics or similar digital analytics tools
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate and inspire at all levels, including addressing opportunities, risks, and strategic positioning with business and technology leaders 
  • Talent in simplifying complex content 
  • Proven track record of displaying ownership, urgency and sound decision making skills 
  • Extensive experience planning and managing large-scale, strategic digital marketing initiatives, including capital planning, across matrixed organizations 
  • Gaining support for initiatives through influence and use of business rationale 
  • Demonstrated experience with road mapping and implementing digital marketing initiatives that will scale to support the requirements of a growing organization
  • Deep understanding of the digital environment and evolving tools and platforms used to improve online experience and presence. Able to translate trends into business opportunities
  • Strong leadership and consensus building skills, with a willingness to continually embrace personal and professional development
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA with emphasis in marketing, digital, product 
  • Healthcare or highly regulated industry experience
  • Consumer marketing experience with large organization 
  • Technology and consumer based organization experience
  • 3+ years experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience using Axure or equivalent
