The Director of Facilities/Plant Operations plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and controls the operations of the Engineering, Maintenance, and Grounds departments. They complete all duties and functions of the Hospital Safety Officer.The Director is responsiblefor maintaining compliance with applicable Federal and District regulations to include, but not limited to the Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), EPA, DDOE, DOH and OSHA. The director will manage staff and contractors adequately to ensure and maintain the efficient and safe operation of all hospital buildings. hey will plan, predict, maintain and repair building and equipment. They utilize energy management and tracking tools in order to maintain efficient utility operations. The Director develops and manages operating and capital budgets.
