The Director of HCP & Patient Marketing, Therapeutic Oncology Biosimilars will be responsible for strategy development and tactical execution of personal and non-personal promotion to healthcare professionals and patients. Products in scope for this role include biosimilar rituximab, biosimilar bevacizumab and biosimilar trastuzumab. These products are projected to launch simultaneously in mid-2019 in to a crowded field of biosimilar competitors.

This role will report to the US Team Leader, Therapeutic Oncology Biosimilars and will interface extensively with cross-functional partners within PEH and the Oncology Business Unit.


+ Identify, develop, and lead execution of strategies and tactics to maximize growth trajectory for a portfolio of three products launching simultaneously in mid-2019

+ Lead development of promotional materials for HCPs and patients including value proposition, product positioning, messaging, etc

+ Work in close collaboration with value marketing to execute "cost & coverage" strategies and tactics

+ Support elements of Go-To-Market Model design, including field force sizing & structure, targeting, segmentation, etc

+ Partner with Global biosimilars team to drive efficiencies by leveraging learnings and insights

+ Lead the creation and execution of launch meeting and POA plans for all three assets

+ Lead Congress strategy and participation on behalf of the therapeutic oncology biosimilars

+ Develop creative and strategic insights about customer needs through collaboration with medical, market analytics and sales colleagues as well as directly with HCPs

+ Plan, synthesize and evaluate market research to identify and address opportunities and gaps

+ Host advisory boards with experts to develop and translate insights into actionable brand strategies

+ Identify market opportunities and competitive threats; prioritize activities to address competitive threats

+ Collect and synthesize competitive intelligence

+ Lead competitive simulation exercises for each brand to identify and counteract competitor gaps

+ Oversee strategic initiatives requiring the contributions of internal and external colleagues, agencies and partners

+ Explore differentiation opportunities and opportunities to create sustainable value for customers

+ Develop presentations for management and internal stakeholders on brand priorities, opportunities, and threats; lead development of Tactical Plans and Operating Plans

+ Seek and apply knowledge about the dynamic framework of legal-regulatory requirements to meet customer needs while remaining compliant

+ Collaborate closely with sales leadership, training, RC and others to develop and deliver sales training

+ Lead agency interactions to build brand platform and develop HCP and patient promotional materials; Integrate with Inflectra, Supportive Care and the brand platform

+ Manage OPEX budget up to $10M

+ Demonstrate a OnePfizer approach with OBU colleagues at Congresses and customer meetings

+ Engage global commercial development and marketing teams to leverage ex-US learnings/best practices

+ Partner with Team Leader of Reimbursement Hub to ensure seamless integration of each asset into the enCompass program


8 - 10 years pharmaceutical marketing experience and strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical marketplace are essential.

Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.

Experience working on Medicare Part B products and/or developing "cost and coverage" messaging for HCPs also preferred.

+ apply verbal and written communication skills, and manage multiple priorities effectively.


Travel to / from Lake Forest to NYHQ
