For nearly 40 years, Holly Hill Hospital has served a variety of populations, working tirelessly to improve the lives of those in our community experiencing psychiatric and addictive disorders. We currently provide specialized treatment programs for children, adolescents, adults and seniors. When Holly Hill opened, we had just 58 beds. Today, our health system includes two campuses and serves more than 8,000 patients annually with 228 licensed beds and an Adult Outpatient Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). In 2018, Holly Hill will once again expand our services to meet the needs of our growing community with the development of a 64-bed Adult Specialty Hospital at our Michael J. Smith Lane Campus.

We continue to grow and expand our services to meet the demands of the community for inpatient psychiatric beds & currently have a need for a Full-Time Director of Health Information Management to join our management team.

Key Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises the Health Information Department. Provides medical record expertise to administration, the medical and professional staff, associates, customers, and external agencies.
• Develops, implements, and maintains patient information systems to fulfill the needs of the organization, and licensing, accrediting, and reimbursement agencies.
• Provides consultative services to administration and the medical and professional staffs in the development of forms to capture patient information, objective criteria to assess documentation, and information systems design and integration.
• Ensures that medical records and related health information are collected, analyzed, and maintained securely and in the best interests of the patient and hospital.
• Leads clinical pertinence committee and implements performance improvement measures based on findings from trending analysis.
• Monitors productivity and quality of departmental services, ensures adequate coverage, and provides education to staff.
• Assists with preparation for Joint Commission and other surveys and audits as necessary.

• Oversee HIPAA Compliance Program.

Job Requirements

Knowledge of medical record processes and systems. Ability to remain current on external regulatory requirements including the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization standards. Possesses interpersonal skills necessary to relate to physicians, senior management, and other professional staff. Able to organize projects and work assignments and apply good management techniques when handling staff.

Education/Training:
Associate of Science degree in Medical Record/Health Information technology from an accredited school. Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Record Administration/Health Information Management from an accredited school preferred.

Licensure/Certification:
Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) required.

Experience:
RHIA with two years experience in medical records in a psychiatric setting.
Minimum of five years supervisory experience in a healthcare setting, psychiatric hospital preferred.
