Job Details

Support Head of North American Medical Affairs, Inflammation & Immunology in executing critical medical and organizational strategies, driving operational effectiveness and maximizing medical affairs productivity through effective medical planning and execution for in-line brands/therapeutic areas as well as assets in late phase development. As a member of the I&I North American Medical Affairs Leadership Team, this position will lead I&I North American Medical Affairs organizational operations as well as special projects, and partner with Leadership Team Members and other Pfizer functions and departments, to ensure effective support for the I&I North American Medical Affairs and to facilitate exchange of critical information with relevant stakeholders.







Responsibilities







+ Lead implementation of major strategic initiatives across country, functional, and brand teams.



+ In collaboration with other medical leaders and functional line owners to drive key planning activities and presentations for NAMA (e.g. Operating Plans, Strategy Projects, PfizerVoice Initiatives, Leadership updates, NAMA organizational meetings, Medical POA/YBM, etc.)



+ In collaboration with other medical leaders to develop and drive an effective and efficient process for I&I NAMA.



+ Lead operational initiatives for the leadership team to enhance organizational efficiency, goal clarity and alignment of activities and key messages between I&I NAMA team and stakeholders



+ Drive planning efforts across I&I NAMA by proactively developing Operating Plan processes and templates, scheduling medical brand reviews, key decision point meetings and endorsements



+ Leading the overall Operating Plan planning process.



+ Facilitate agenda and execution for the following Governance Meetings: NAMA leadership and extended leadership meetings (bi-weekly and quarterly), operating plan, medical business reviews, etc.



+ Participate/Lead cross functional leadership teams as needed



+ Initiate, develop and implement process improvement plans to enhance organizational efficiency and continuous improvement.



+ Identify initiatives that can drive engagement and coordinate execution with LT members, including town halls, communications, etc.



+ Coordinate activities with Business Operation lead for I&I NA and I&I MA, and with other BUs MA Heads as needed.



+ Support of an environment that encourages and rewards the I&I NAMA cultural mindset: Patient's First Think Big, Take Pride, No Excuses



+ Manage colleague(s) with responsibility for tracking I&I NAMA project, budgets, compliance, and develop performance reports







Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in life sciences or business; MBA highly desirable



7- 10 years experience in global pharmaceutical industry; Medical Affairs related experience preferred; Consulting experiences and/or business management experience desired



Excellent strategic and analytical skills



Proven track record of success



Strong project management skills, including ability to handle multiple projects



simultaneously and manage against a work plan



High energy self-starter who has initiative to function autonomously



Excellent oral and written communication skills, including poise and maturity to gain



credibility with senior leaders



Sharp attention to details and confidence to produce flawless governance meeting



minutes



Strong time management skills, the ability to multi-task and function effectively in a



fast paced environment



Collaborative with a track record of building effective networks and teams



Previous matrix leadership experience preferred
