For over a century, Timberlawn Behavioral Health System has been the premier provider of specialized behavioral health and addictive disease services in the Dallas Metro-Area. The 144 bed facility is located on a safe and private 18 acre campus in Dallas County and provides inpatient behavioral health treatment for adults, seniors and adolescents. Timberlawn's specialized programs treat disorders such as depression and anxiety, as well as addictive disease disorders such as alcoholism and drug addiction.

Director of HIM works closely with administration medical staff, and department heads. Primary responsibilities include providing direction to the Health Information Management Department in record processing, release of information, and transcription. In addition, primary responsibilities for QM include ensuring facility compliance with TDH regulations and JCAHO accrediting standards.  This position reports directly to the CEO.

Job Requirements

Education:  Bachelors degree in health related field.

Experience:  2 years experience in Health Management, data collection and data management.  Supervisory experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification:  Must have certification by the American Health Information Management Association.
