Two Rivers Behavioral Health (UHS Facility) is a 105-bed acute facility and a leading provider of behavioral health care in the Kansas City area on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. For over 30 years, the facility has provided 24-hour care for individuals in need. The Director of Risk Management and Quality Control oversees Quality Improvement standards throughout the hospital and has broad responsibility to protect the hospital's assets from loss. This position is responsible for coordinating the loss control efforts and advising management and administration on all potential sources of loss and for making recommendations to minimize or eliminate exposure. In addition this position is responsible for the collection and effective use of quality control information throughout the hospital. The structure and functions of this position are designed so as to comply with guidelines and standards of JCAHO, other regulatory agencies, and the UHS T.E.R.M.© Program.
 
Requirements
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or other mental health related program. Experience: Five years clinical experience in a psychiatric in patient facility with knowledge of high- risk areas. Three years management experience Licensure/Certification: Current RN license by Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Missouri or a Licensed Mental Health Professional Knowledge: Knowledge of hospital operations, risk identification, assessment and reduction and claims management; Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Environmental Conditions: Work is sedentary, sitting most of the day, some standing. Must lift 10 to 20 pounds and walk the campus periodically. Physical Requirements: Sitting - 90% Standing - 5% Walking, stooping, bending, turning, lifting - 5%
