Description

The Director, Client Value Strategy will focus on our Enterprise Dealer Partnerships and will be on the Value Strategy team, part of the Client Success Organization.  He/she will work closely with Cox Automotive leadership and sales teams to create solutions for clients and develop deal proposals that cross various Cox Automotive companies (DealerTrack, AutoTrader, Manheim, vAuto, etc.)  He/she will be a Trusted Advisor to Sales teams, Sales Leadership and Operations on all matters related to client solutions, pricing, deal design, and customer performance.  This position reports to the Sr. Director, Value Strategy, EDP
  • Partner with Account Owners and Sales teams to build knowledge on dealer groups and identify strategies and develop plans and solutions as part of the end-to-end account planning process
  • Deal Design:  Proposal of new products, pricing mechanisms, client and deal analysis, scoring, creative structuring and alignment on value points to help sales propose and close deals. 
  • Escalation and presentation development for Steering Committee’s to gain organizational feedback and approvals on new monetization approaches and deals outside of guardrails.
  • Input into opportunity identification and delivery of targeted campaigns to select client groups to increase penetration and drive additional client success (proactive promotions/solutions)
  • Departmental/team meetings and events, industry events, training and professional development activities




Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Experience across Sales, Marketing, Strategy, and/or Pricing in the Automotive or adjacent industry experience
  • Experience in financial modeling (FP&A experience a plus)
  • Experience developing pricing strategies and plans for new products and innovative services
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across functional teams and different organizational levels to deliver results
  • Demonstrated ability to work with sales teams to deliver analysis and recommendations and partner in the sale
  • Must be able to effectively organize and prioritize work flow and work independently
  • Ability to work with integrity and ethically and continuously uphold organizational values
  • Fundamental understanding of pricing concepts and frameworks
  • Proven ability to work effectively within complex decision making and organizational structures
  • Ability to lead parallel assignments in a high quality manner while hitting deadlines
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics, Business or other related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience communicating with all levels of an organization
  • Experience with various data sources and advanced analytics to perform deep analysis 
  • Maintain and utilize industry, competitive and general economic knowledge to make strategic recommendations or identify risks/opportunities on adjacencies 
  • Ability to operate across all functional groups and interact with all levels of management within the organization and have strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, project management and organizational skills. 
  • Experience influencing change, developing strategies with impact and delivering results
