ADP is hiring a Director of Product Management, Insurance Services in Florham Park, NJ. The Director of Product Management is responsible for contributing to the product strategy and execution of ADP's Small Business Services Insurance product portfolio. You will provide product management leadership to scrum teams in achieving on-time releases in adherence to the product roadmap that will make using ADP Small Business Insurance and Payroll an effortless and market leading experience.

The person will be working in an agile development environment and play an integral role within the team in achieving on-time, on-budget releases that attain commercial success in the market. Act as the leading contributor within a team of product owners who are responsible for market-sensing activities to understand market requirements and deliver innovative insurance solutions. Helps lead product launch activities and ongoing market-facing support.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for product management requirements related to the integration solutions for the major cloud HCM vendors.
  • Identifies and develops product strategy and requirements and evaluates their potential and practicality by analyzing market and customer needs through direct client interaction, market research and interfacing with sales and service.
  • Acts as a Primary Product Owner and interface with development affecting all user personas served within the insurance agency as well as client facing solutions.
  • Acts as User Champion when coordinating product development with Business Stakeholders and aligns all development activity with business goals and priorities.
  • Determine current and future client needs including incorporating insight from clients, service and sales, user research, feature usage and win/loss data.
  • Directly responsible for SCRUM teams including feature/requirement definition, use cases, delivery management and ongoing quality management.
  • Works day to day with the product SCRUM teams to clarify requirements and accept final user stories, balances business needs with technical requirements, and recommends alternative technical approaches to meet design requirements when needed.
  • Manages the product backlog (grooming, prioritization and refinement).
  • Prioritize product roadmap working in partnership with senior leadership, development, services, sales and marketing guiding products/features from pilot to general availability
  • Supports all product launch and market-facing support activities.
  • Serves as the key client facing contact for the product as well as subject matter/technical expert to the external client, marketing, sales and service organizations on all matters related to the product(s).
  • Works with marketing, sales and service on the development of product positioning, demo design, training courses, sales collateral, etc. where appropriate to ensure that business objectives are achieved.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent in education and experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in a market-facing software and enterprise solutions product role.
  • Significant knowledge of Human Capital Management market.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams to accomplish project goals.
  • Must be capable of managing multiple stakeholders on the best course of action for the product.
  • Understanding of Insurance, Payroll and HCM business processes and technologies.
  • Experience with data mapping, transformation, HR-payroll integration and any ETL, API, middleware technologies would be a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills required.
  • Ability to conceptualize, negotiate and sell ideas internally and externally.
  • Ability to implement concepts, ideas and plans while functioning in a flexible, constantly changing environment necessary.
  • Must be a strong collaborator, team player as well as an individual contributor.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline and/or an MBA.
  • Facilitative leadership experience as well as experience working with Agile methodology strongly preferred.
