Shifting demands and realignment of projects has created a new opportunity on the Global Research team to support the VP of Marketing Research Operations to set and enforce standard operating procedures, automate repeat processes and establish templates to increase efficiencies. This role will be active in identifying opportunities and implementing process improvements.


  • Establish a standard process for project planning, management and communication; introduce relevant agile methodologies and concepts to the research team.
  • Support the Research Consultants by effectively allocating resources to ensure on time and within budget execution of the research team’s portfolio of projects and timely delivery of research data. 
  • Lead a team of 3 research managers and partner with team to ensure a clear understanding of client goals, project plans and schedules are created by collaborating closely with functional leaders, project milestones are defined and tracked.
  • Accountable for research project communications, identification of issues/risks and escalation of critical issues to senior leaders and the Research Consultant leading the project.
  • Manage research suppliers to ensure project objectives are met timely and within budget.  This includes all stages of supplier interaction from negotiating, contracting, onboarding, to post-project debriefing.
  • Partner with Vendor Governance, Compliance and BISO to ensure adherence to Prudential policies and guidelines, particularly as it relates to customer privacy and data protection.




  • A minimum of 10 years of portfolio, program and project management experience.
  • At least 3 years of a leadership role in a PMO within a global organization, in a highly regulated industry (hiring, performance management, mentoring, etc).
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
  • PMP certification strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, maintain strong relationships across functions and facilitate collaborative problem solving.
  • Demonstrated success in creating structure, standardizing procedures and improving processes.
  • In-depth knowledge and proven application of project management methodologies, including agile.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of the market research discipline.
  • Evidence of leading and developing innovative solutions that have a major impact within the business area and organization.
  • Outstanding influence skills and demonstrated ability in matrixed stakeholder management and as a change agent, a willingness and ability to facilitate change, effectively overcome inertia and address resistance.
  • Ability to work comfortably at the most senior levels of the business through clear written and verbal communications.
  • A “player-coach” who is comfortable stepping back to empower others, but can roll up his/her sleeves and work alongside the team. 
  • Willingness and ability to work across global time zones via technology-enabled communication channels.
