Job Description

Position Scope:             

Manage Quality Improvement initiative for the DC/MD programs. Protect the company’s assets from loss. Responsible for coordinating the loss control efforts and advising management and administration on all potential sources of loss and for making recommendations to minimize or eliminate exposure. Monitor the facilities’ risk management and quality improvement programs to ensure compliance with guidelines and standards of federal, state, and licensure regulations.

 

Essential Functions:     

  1. Must be able to drive with a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation.

  2. Must be able to answer a phone to provide daily management of the office, staff and referral sources for Quality Improvement.

  3. Must be able to carry and answer a phone to provide crisis intervention, evaluations, follow up with referral sources, families and assessments as needed.

  4. Must be able to work on a computer to develop, implement, analyze and approve licensed required documents.

  5. Must be able to use a fax, copier, or scanner to receive and forward required documents from the legal guardian, parents, referral sources or others as indicated.

  6. Must be able to function as a Program Supervisor, Performance Improvement Coordinator.

  7. Must be able to read and interpret policy, regulations and guidance to teach, educate and train staff and managers

  8. Be able to read, interpret, process reports, service plans, psychological and other clinical documentation to assess the clinical needs of a client and recommend the level of care needed throughout the individual’s placement

  9. Must be able to verbally communicate with referral sources, the client, families and staff; as well as read, interpret reports and regulations, service plans, psychological and other clinical documentation to coordinate the ongoing services of Quality Improvement services.

Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

Education:                  Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Mental Health related field.

 

Licensure/

Certification:              None

 

Experience:                 Five or more years experience in a mental health organization with knowledge of high risk areas. Three or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
