Parkwood Behavioral Health System has provided behavioral health and chemical dependency services to the Mid-South region since 1987. We are located in DeSoto County, in the uppermost northwest corner of Mississippi and approximately 7 miles south of Memphis.  As treatment options and patient care innovations have continued to become available we strive to provide the highest level of quality care to our patients. At Parkwood, our caring staff focuses on providing compassionate care to meet the needs of individuals, families and communities.  We offer a full continuum of care that provides treatment options to meet the individual needs of adults, adolescents and children. Parkwood Behavioral Health System includes a 148-bed inpatient acute and residential care facility, as well as partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs.

Director of Risk Management and Qualify Improvement

We are currently seeking a full-time Director of Risk Management and Quality Improvement.  The DRMQI, organizes and directs all risk and quality improvement activities in accordance with local, state and federal and other regulatory agency requirements.  The Director of Risk Management and Quality Improvement functions in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Parkwood Behavioral Health System.

Job Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description.  The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. 

Education:  Graduate of an accredited nursing or clinical services program preferred 

Experience:   Five years clinical experience in mental health setting and three years experience in a clinical supervisory role preferred.

Licensure/Certification:  RN, LCSW, LPC or LMFT preferred

Knowledge:   Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric clinical programming, working concepts and theory, leadership skills, age specific growth and development, therapeutic relationships and processes, limit setting, crisis and behavior management.  Current knowledge of regulatory agency guidelines.
