Primary Responsibilities:
  • Environment Support Leadership

    • Troubleshoot and lead a cross functional team in a critical incident management situation

    • Provide real time updates during incident management, that include the client and internal teams

    • Support a Quality Assurance organization through their testing activities (these teams include both Client and internal)

    • Strong understanding of coding languages to help determine environment issues resolutions

  • Configuration Management

    • Strong hands on knowledge of configuration management

    • Effectively lead a team of configuration management professionals

    • Up to date on the latest tools sets

    • Implement and create controls for highly quality software deployments

  • Technology roadmaps and life-cycle management

  • Technology

    • Application Management and Incident Management

    • Database Management

    • Infrastructure Management (Server, Storage, Network and Datacenter)

      • Virtualization - Cloud – SaaS System Monitoring and Reporting

    • Networking

  • Application Development knowledge

    • Application Architecture

    • Data Architecture and Analysis

    • Integration Services Architecture (Middleware & Webservices)

    • Security Architecture

    • Compliance Management for State /Federal Systems

    • SDLC and Agile Concepts

    • Infrastructure and Application Production Deployments

    • Testing

  • Project Management

    • Understanding client mission, vision, strategy and business objectives

    • Incorporate current state of clients business and the supporting technology linking critical success factors for achieving business objectives

    • Use key performance indicators (KPIs) for measuring progress against CSFs

    • Provide leadership and direction for client engagements

    • Shape solutions to ensure that they address core business opportunities and problems

    • Deliver business results through flawless execution

    • Cultivate ongoing relationships with executives and other leaders in client organizations

    • Coach and mentor technology professionals, in order to build and maintain high performance teams

    • Ensure on schedule, on budget, on scope delivery within client quality goals

    • Develop (and adhere to) engagement budgets and staffing plans

    • Adapt to and remain effective in a changing environment


Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of success operating in a technical leadership role within large, global, matrixed, complex organizations (hands on technical role)
  • Strong experience troubleshooting technical issues in a complex technical environment and communicating effectively with both technical and non-tech end users
  • Hands on experience leading a Configuration Management team
  • Broad understanding of technology and how it's used to drive business growth and/or efficiencies

  • Demonstrated ability to process, architecture and software engineering principles, methods and tools to business challenges

  • Proven experience delivering high quality technology solutions on time and on budget

  • Track record of building and maintaining long-term working relationships

  • Ability to build the right team, focus people and model/demand integrity

  • Exceptional communication skills and the demonstrable ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization (this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations)

  • Results-oriented individual with strong coaching, decision making, influencing, mentoring, negotiation, problem solving and situational analysis skills

  • Bachelor's degree



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Database management experience
  • Experience in the healthcare industry

  • Familiarity with PPACA federal legislation and OCIIO/CMS guidance of value

  • Knowledge of existing Federal and state-level initiatives for health insurance exchange, and strategies to link these efforts together into a true national network of networks desired

  • Experience with healthcare regulatory compliance preferred

  • Strategic thinking abilities and an enterprise-wide perspective

  • Demonstrated experience managing organizational growth and change
