*Role Description*

The primary responsibility of this position is to understand, anticipate and co-evolve the development and execution of the global market access strategy for Eliquis within the Internal Medicine (IM) Category, including Payer Insights, Payer Value Proposition and Pricing Strategy and Access support across different market and payer archetypes. In this role, he/she will need to work collaboratively within the Eliquis team as well as across PHI/GH&V, BU, Medical, Commercial and Alliance partners to drive PI&A component of access strategies.The individual will report to the PI&A Senior Director/Team Lead.Organizational RelationshipsMust interact effectively with Patient & Health Impact peers and leadership, Country Health & Value teams, Global, Regional and Local Commercial and Medical teams, Finance, Policy and Public Affairs colleagues as well as Alliance partners.



*Responsibilities*

Develop and evolve Payer Value Proposition and drive market access strategy*Champion and represent the 'Voice of the Payer' at cross-functional teams and governance bodies*Deliver clear and actionable recommendations on payer strategy, pricing and reimbursement, evidence generation and value proposition in line with business objectives*Bring creative solutions to the team while employing leading-edge methodologies*Lead horizon scanning and in-depth understanding of payer and market access regulation needs and priorities across key markets / archetypes; generate and synthesize payer insights to inform global strategy*Identify and facilitate sharing best practices*Support development and regional customization of the access strategy; refine delivery of the Payer Value Proposition by payer archetypesMatrix leadership*Embody a 'one GH&V' mindset and work efficiently and collaboratively in a highly matrixed environment*Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams in the development and roll out of key deliverables*Develop effective processes and ways of working to support collaboration with key internal stakeholder groups such as commercial, medical, Alliance partners*Develop strong working relationships and align on priorities with regional and local stakeholders*Effectively communicate and build alignment with leadership and across organizationIn addition you will be expected to:*Manage allocated budget spend including keeping GH&V systems up to date and meeting phasing targets*Escalate critical issues to team lead. When necessary, convene and coordinate taskforces related to specific asset threats and opportunities.



*Qualifications*

Education*Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree in a healthcare, business or economic field preferred. (PHD, MSC or MBA).Skills & Experience*Minimum of 8 years of experience in a healthcare environment, preferably pharmaceutical industry or related consulting services, sufficient to have developed a deep understanding of the global payer and market access environment*Above-market/regional or global experience preferred*Track record of leadership in a matrix environment*Strong interpersonal skills and evidence team working/collaboration in a matrix environment*Strong customer-orientation; an ability to see issues from the point of view of others*Proven ability to develop strong partnerships across functions*Track record of delivering results*An "execution mindset" focused on getting things done quickly and simply*Ability to work under pressure, take accountability for business challenges, think strategically and tackle complex problems*Intellectual curiosity and ability to spot trends/patterns*Outstanding writing and presentation skills*Familiarity with strategic and operating planning processesTravel up to 20% of worktime expected
