The Director, Pfizer Injectables Communications, will work closely across the Pfizer Injectables Commercial Organization to help ensure alignment and coordination in developing and implementing all aspects of operational business internal communications -- supporting this business with product communication to customer facing colleagues, and field force communications for the U.S. market leading $3.3B Pfizer Injectables (PI) business in Pfizer Essential Health (PEH).

This role will directly manage and coordinate the distribution of internal business related messaging for the Pfizer Injectables team. In this role, he/she will work closely with the Corporate Affairs and Communications Lead for Sterile Injectables to support the development and execution of internal and external communications initiatives, and help manage issues as they arise for the Marketing Communications Lead and General Manager of the Pfizer Injectables business.

The Director will leverage his/her strong relationships within and across the organization to ensure messaging is aligned throughout the functional areas of the PI team -- such as Business Analytics and Operations, Portfolio, Sales, Alternate Site, Trade and Sales -- with the business mission, vision, key priorities and customer value proposition. He/She will also partner with the Marketing and Communications Lead to drive internal Pfizer Injectables culture and engagement by acting as a key liaison for the field force to the internal office.

The Director, Pfizer Injectables Communications, reports directly to the Marketing and Communications Lead. A team of individual contributors focusing on internal and external business communications, with particular focus on product support, colleague engagement and field force communications will report to the Director, Pfizer Injectables Communications.


+ Work closely with the Corporate Affairs and Communications Lead for Sterile Injectables to coordinate and implement all aspects of business internal communications, product communications, and field force customer-interfacing communications

+ Execute overall communications plan in support of the PI businesses in close collaboration with Pfizer Corporate Affairs provide internal communications support and ensure alignment to the U.S. PI business functions, including but not limited to the Business Analytics & Operations, Portfolio and Sales Team Leaders

+ Maintain and build operational partnerships to support Pfizer Injectables business objectives across PEH

+ Lead strategic messaging and develop materials for quarterly Town Halls and monthly messaging for PI General Manager in partnership with Pfizer Injectables Marketing and Communications Lead

+ Partner with team to manage Pfizer Injectables SharePoint architecture and document management

+ Work with Corporate Affairs and key PI business segments to develop and codify best practices to address and message key issues as they arise

+ Assist Corporate Affairs and PEH and PGS Communications Leads in developing standby statements, Q&As and key message documents for external use/customer-facing colleagues to support business and corporate responsibilities

+ Have expert knowledge of market dynamics and competitor strategies which directly impact business and potentially reputation

+ Partner across the organization to develop messaging for external advocacy, professional and industry stakeholders impacting the business

+ Manage development of internal resources and responses to customer inquiries surrounding product issues

+ Model the Pfizer OWNIT! Culture and drive Dare to Try initiatives across the business


+ Undergraduate degree in business or related area MS / MBA strongly preferred

+ +10 years experience, commercial and/or corporate Communications

+ Excellent written and oral communications skills

+ Expertise in communications concepts, practices, strategies and tactics based on understanding of key audiences and corporate objectives

+ Proven ability to convert high level strategic direction into clear and concise messages for all colleagues

+ Strong knowledge of the U.S. brand and generic pharmaceutical marketplace to include the IP, regulatory, competitive landscape and customer dynamics that influence the peri- and post-LOE market

+ Strong issues management skills

+ Demonstrated track record working with and influencing both individuals and multidisciplinary teams in a complex, fluid and matrix environment

+ Excellent networking and relationship building skills and the ability to interact with confidence with various levels and functions

+ Able to work to tight deadlines, manage multiple projects at once and maintain professionalism under pressure

+ Proactive self- starter, and able to work independently

+ Experience with the biopharmaceutical industry or healthcare sector preferred specific knowledge of Gx, or Pfizer organization a plus

+ Demonstrated effective levels of the following capabilities: organizational awareness, leading change, seizing accountability, driving performance, holding people accountable, developing others, self-awareness, business acumen, acting decisively and committing to One Pfizer
