This position is responsible for the product marketing of Optum’s Analytics Life Sciences offerings developing and executing world class strategies to exceed business unit goals, capture market share and increase target audience satisfaction is the focus on this position. Direct accountabilities include assessing the market, defining compelling product value propositions, establishing category thought leadership and defining the product marketing strategy including new offerings and executing together with the segment marketing teams for sustained growth. This role will work with Analytics Life Sciences products and BU leadership to significantly enhance our marketing efforts of our broad capabilities while working with BU’s to coordinate more integrated offerings.  This Product Marketer will report into Optum Portfolio Marketing.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Market and Product Understanding
    • Deepen the understanding of the market opportunity, unmet customer needs, competitive alternatives and Optum offerings for the market category in which the product is seeking to gain market share and revenue growth
  • Compelling Product Value Propositions
    • Develop and / or support already created differentiated and compelling value propositions for the Optum product suite that clearly articulates the unique benefits that the target audience(s) will receive for the price paid. Guide future offerings to strengthen our value proposition and expand market
  • Product Go - to - market & launch strategy
    • Lead the development of a winning go to market strategy including an impactful market launch considering customer segment targets. Craft all marketing materials for launches, new capabilities, customer references and sales enablement tools
  • Thought Leadership Approach
    • Establish and / or support already developed thought leadership positions in the market that differentiates the Optum offerings and reaches the priority audiences through marketing programs, events, executive speeches, influencer engagement and PR / AR
  • Sustained Growth Plan
    • Post initial launch, execute marketing strategies that accelerate growth and ensure customer satisfaction. Keep up - to - date on business results and market changes in order to drive initiatives that improve our competitive position. Plan and maintain the budget and expenses for the product marketing and content development initiatives
