The Client Relations and Business Development Program Lead role will be responsible for management of significant, multi-year and critical initiatives that will impact Prudential Retirement’s Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit clients. These initiatives enhance the client and intermediary experience, grow our existing client business, ensure a smooth and highly productive service delivery to clients.  This role will work closely with business partners to support components of the initiatives, assist with sequencing of initiatives and address the coordination of internal and external communications of initiatives.  In addition to leading key initiatives, this position will manage a team of project managers / subject matter experts and assistant directors who support our relationship management key account team.
This role resides in the Office of Client Management group, which is responsible for business initiative management, change management, workforce management, client management infrastructure, business reporting and analysis, budget management and field support for Client Relations and Business Development (CR&BD)
Responsibilities include:
  • Manage, develop, maintain a comprehensive project plans and participate in key initiatives and projects on behalf of the Client Relations Business Development (CRBD) Client Service organization
  • Provide frequent updates to the CR&BD leadership team and monthly updates to the senior leadership on the key milestones, challenges and recommended resolutions for initiatives
  • Ensure all areas of organization readiness are being addressed before rolling out to internal associates, clients and intermediaries
  • Plans, organizes and monitors change integration, problem resolution and project work for CR&BD Client Facing Organization (Key Account, Client Service Manager, Relationship Managers, etc.)
  • Supervises a team that manages initiatives and assist directors to relationship managers who assist in implementing changes from the initiatives
  • Manage capacity, skill set development, process improvement and role responsibilities for initiative managers and assist directors

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial services, with a strong preference for Retirement industry experience
  • Knowledge of plan sponsor and intermediary needs, and some knowledge of at least one or two key disciplines (defined contribution, defined benefit, non-qualified, retail sales, investment products) strong preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and execute on projects and initiatives in a cross-functional environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or relevant designation preferred
  • Motivated, self-starter, ability to flex successfully between independent and team centered work environment
  • Ability to interact collaboratively and efficiently with professionals at all levels and functions, including senior management and business partners
  • Excellent partnering, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Strong leadership/interpersonal skills to mentor/coach associates
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
