Prudential International Insurance (PII) has embarked on an exciting journey to think about and then systematically develop new, innovative long-term growth opportunities.  In addition, it is engaged on several large-scale transformation initiatives across PII. 

 

The Director, Program Management supports several high-impact innovation and transformation programs that have been initiated across PII to drive sustainable business growth. The position will have responsibility to manage these different programs which includes:

  • Overseeing the effective execution of the programs
  • Identifying strategies to overcome project obstacles
  • Engaging with key stakeholders across PII and in the different countries to ensure strategic alignment and creating approaches to ensure a high degree of employee adoption. 

 

The position will also identify and build best practices to strengthen PII’s capabilities to innovate and transform.  In this regard, the position will help develop/leverage a portfolio of methodologies, best practices, tools and resources that can be utilized to build these capabilities across different innovation programs and transformation situations. 

 

This role, an integral part of the PII Strategy team and in close partnership with other PII functional groups, will be responsible for ensuring that the innovation and transformation programs are properly executed and the expected value of these are successfully realized.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage large scale innovation and transformation initiatives in PII’s businesses and functions
  • Develop strategies to ensure effective execution including approaches to ensure strategy alignment, stakeholder buy-in and clear employee communications
  • Create tools, methodologies and approaches to help build capability around innovation and business transformation
  • Identify areas to leverage ideas and practices from across the enterprise
  • Work with key stakeholders across PII and in the different country operations in Asia, Latin America, Africa and Europe to ensure execution of transformation programs 

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in leading large-scale innovation and transformation programs, in an external consulting and/or an internal corporate consulting environment
  • Proven track record of driving successful innovation and/or transformation programs
  • Knowledge of different innovation approaches and methodologies e.g., Agile
  • In-depth knowledge of different approaches and methodologies to building organizational constructs and capabilities
  • Strong consulting and facilitation skills; experience consulting in and/or working within different business environments
  • Pro-actively manage highly complex, and ambiguous business situations
  • Demonstrated ability to see linkages and patterns and develop constructs linking them together
  • Strong ability to build relationships, gain trust and influence senior management
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and raise conflict; influence new thinking
  • Work effectively in a highly-matrixed organizational environment
  • Strong communication and executive presentation skills
  • Highly pro-active – sees problems as opportunities and generates strategies to resolve
